RX 580 low fps and a LOT of dips
hi there!!! i just recently bought an rx 580 8 gb 2048sp XFX, just upgraded to a GPU, my budget was limited and i couldn't upgrade my CPU, so i still rock my ryzen 3 2200g, the thing is, when i play cyberpunk i can't really reach 60 fps and i think is because mi CPU is bottlenecking my GPU, i play at 1080p with some optimized settings ( they're a mix of medium/low settings and some things at high/ultra) and the dynamic scaling from fsr 2.1. the game has a lot of stutters and dips with an avg between the high 30s and 40s but never reaching the 60 fps mark (only in interiors like buildings but even that feels ♥♥♥♥♥♥) and i don't know if the game is broken, or if my GPU or CPU are simply ♥♥♥♥. if you can respond and give some advice on how to act or what CPU i can buy in the future i would greatly appreciate it.

Your processor is holding you back. You won't get over 60 fps on this game with that, your processor only has 4 cores & 4 threads.

I have R7 5800 and i can drop from 80 to 40 fps in Dogtown because of CPU with crowd density to medium and no RT...

I have Ryzen 7 5700g and was able to get almost 100 when I first started playing. Now its topped off at 7 whopping frames. SEVEN. Im here trying to find out WTF.

yeah, it's probably that, the thing is i don't know what CPU to upgrade, i was thinking something like a R5 3600-4500, i think that with any of those i should be just fine

Get something better. I have the Ryzen 5 5500 and get between 60 and 90 fps depending on the location in the game.

You're going to have to go to the motherboard manufacturer website and check yourself to know what CPUs it can take.

i just checked and it does support the 5000 ryzen CPUS so that's great, i guess im gonna be using it for some more time till i get enough to buy a b550 or a520. i have a question tho. ¿what GPU do you have?

The 580 is listed on the Minimum system requirements. Min reqs these days don't aim for 60fps, it's usually 30.

yeah, i guess, but i saw a lot of benchmarks with this card in particular and it could run the game at 60 fps and even more, that's the only reason i even made this thread, my game runs like crap
Hyperion Nov 18, 2024 @ 5:14pm
FYI, the specs needed to run the game (both minimum and recommended specs) were raised across the board when 2.0 dropped last year so that will definitely affect your performance to some degree.

It’s kind of a Hail Mary situation but if you’re really desperate to hit 60 FPS, you can downgrade your game version to 1.63 through the Beta versions tab for this game. No guarantees though.

The game runs fine at 40-50 FPS. People are weird about their Frames lol. I'm only bothered when my game (any game) starts hitting the very low 30's

As mentioned, the game's requirements went up when the DLC hit. If those benchmarks are from before that, they'll be outdated.
