Progression Perks

Hi all, I’m a little confused with the Progression Perks I keep picking up.

I know you get money and skill shards which are automatically consumed and added to your wallet/stats but every now and again I pick up a Progression Shard which says when I pick it up “Pick a Perk of Your Choice”.

As it says pick one of your choice, I assumed it would be some kind of consumable I would use to then pick a stat point/perk. But I can’t find anything in my inventory or character sheet anywhere. Are these also auto consumed in some way and you can’t actually pick one yourself?

It goes directly to your perks total like if you passed a level up

Those ones add a perk point to the level up screen you've maybe spent them and not noticed, sometimes after a level up I'll have one attribute point but 2-3 perk points available from picking up these shards.

Ahhh ok thanks for confirming! Yeah they were few and far between so it wasn’t like a huge stockpile of them with loads of skills just waiting for me to assign. I probably already had 2 points waiting for me, it got bumped up to 3 but I just didn’t notice.
