Clean install question.

I previously played this game with mods using Vortex. They put out a patch that broke my game with the mods so I just uninstalled the game.

When the DLC comes out I wouldn't mind replaying the game fresh. Is there a way for me to do a clean install and play the game vanilla?

Basically, I don't know if the previous modding done with Vortex will still be in the files when I reinstall the game. If it's already uninstalled, can I just reinstall it and it'll be clean, or is there a process I have to go through to sterilize the files/folders?

Also, IDK if the fact that I was using Vortex is important or not, but I figured I'd include the detail.

A clean reinstall SHOULD allow you to play the game vanilla again but you got to take some stuff into account when you actually mention a "clean" install.

A clean install means "as if you installed it for the very first time"... when a program does a clean install it starts by removing EVERYTHING and a regular uninstall of a game usually doesn't do that. If you modded the game and did an uninstall make sure the mod did not leave remnants of itself in stuff like your screenshot or savegame folders (because stuff like screenshots, user settings and saved game usually don't get removed when you uninstall from steam)

From what I can tell by reading Vortex it's simply a plugin mod so without further mods it shouldn't even change anything about the vanilla game at all...so no; it shouldn't matter but we won't know how vortex will affect the DLC until it is released....
