Cyber Engine Tweaks/Steam overlay question
I downloaded Cyber Engine Tweaks and was able to bind the `/~ key to open the console. It opened it at the main screen but not once I was playing in the game itself. I read the instructions on the redmodding cet wiki and disabled the Steam overlay which seems to have resolved the issue but now I obviously can't use the Steam overlay to utilize the forums or look things up on the web browser.

Is there any way to utilize the console commands from CET while still being able to use the Steam overlay functions? I'm an older gamer so I'm used to Alt-Tab messing with the stability of games but don't see any other way to look stuff up (including the long console commands) on my computer while playing the game if I can't use the Steam overlay (which is part of what I thought it was supposed to be for). Are there any workarounds other than quitting the game and disabling the overlay just to restart the game to use the console and then reversing the process or is Alt-Tab not the same problem it used to be? I've also been playing Baldur's Gate 3 lately and I use the Steam overlay a lot to look things up on the wiki so I'd really like to retain that functionality when playing this game since it also seems quite involved with a lot of information.

I was literally just playing the game. I use CET, the Steam overlay, & some other things whilst playing, & I don't have any issues with any of them working correctly. Make sure you're using the latest version of CET, I assume you probably already are, as this sometimes happens, anyway.

In which event; turn the Steam overlay back on, then delete bindings.json located in Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks & launch Cyberpunk 2077 to set a new keybind & reset it. See if it works again now.

Edit - If you're going to alt + tab; do yourself a favour & change the settings in-game to windowed fullscreen (instead of exclusive fullscreen), & just use a real browser like Firefox with an adblocker or scripts disabled. Steam browser is useless when it comes to getting spammed with pop-ups, ads & other malicious junk. I find it clogs up my cache & memory usuage so badly that it negatively impacts performance to the point that the browser/overlay will often freeze up or crash entirely.

Deleting the bindings.json file works but each time I run the game and open the steam overlay it seems to break the binding again and I have to quit the game and delete the file and start back up again. Is there anyway to keep the binding working without having to keep deleting the file?
Just me or CET disables steam overlay?
i run overalay and CET otherwise wouldnt have steam screenshot working though otherwise i dont use overlay.
I played almost 300 hours with both CET and Steam Overlay. Zero issues on my end
