..oh cool I want mod X, wait it requires 2 other mods... ok I'll grab those. Wait they require more mods to work. uhh ok I'll grab those as well... wait they also require mods which break the game... oh fun fun.
It seems that to install mods you need:
RED4ext
Coreware
CET
redscript
TweakXL
ArchiveXL
However both TweakXL and ArchiveXL have issues. They either prevent the game from loading up, or refuse to be installed (didn't find expected [XL mod] installation), or if you install an old version they pop up an error in game.
Yes I uninstalled the game, deleted all folders, reinstalled the game fresh, updated vortex then downloaded all mods 1 by 1.
Manually setting the game location in Vortex doesn't work either?
"Server couldn't process this request.
Maybe the Locally stored info about the mod is wrong
or the mod was removed from Nexus."
If you go to the games tab in vortex and find cyberpunk and hit manage, it should also mention the extension if needed and download it on its own.
Using Vortex is the problem, the mods you said that have a problem also don't have problems at all.
I've installed all my mods manually and they all work great. So, it really is a skill issue tbh
Huh, I tried that, and it worked! Strange, I'm sure I tried that before and it just gave me the same error. Well, whatever, now I can download some mods. Thanks!
I recommend checking out this guy, Deceptious. Almost half the mods I have are from him. https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/deceptious/mods?gameId=3333
------------------------------
Firstly I'll address the skill related comments.
Open the mods page and click a mod say for example Virtual Atelier. Click the Vortex button and the popup tells you which mods you need. Click each one to open the pages and repeat the process until all the requirements (and their requirements) are downloaded.
So for this example I need ArchiveXL which needs RED4ext. I download and install the mod RED4ext by hitting the vortex button. I then do the same for ArchiveXL which then says that it can't be installed.
Where's the skill needed? If you think this takes a high level of skill to simply click the mouse on a button I don't have high hopes for your skill level on anything.
I'm not going to bother replying to anymore "YoUz JuSt NeEd DeM dAr SkIlLz" type of comments.
------------------------------
Now I'll address those that are actually trying to help.
When I have my next day off I'll repeat the process (complete wipe, delete folders, reinstall fresh but try using MO2 instead. I dont want to reinstall vortex as it manages mods for other games with 0 issues.
Deleted folders
Reinstalled cyberpunk
Installed MO2
Downloaded each mod, installing them 1 at a time.
Load game ... error
