Face Implant Mods
For some reason my Kiroshi Optics don't have slots for mods, did they remove them or something recently? Wanted to use the one that would mark enemies if they detect you (Threat Detector) but I don't see a mod slot.

yes.
mods for implants were yeeted in 2.0.
the ones you get first from Vik are bagain basement ones with only the ability to target, the built in camera disruptor and zoom scan function ect.

later on, you can swap them out for better, higher grade versions that have more options.
they have names now, like 'Oracle' or 'Cockatrice' ect, and they have descriptions for the bonuses they have.
same for the Gorilla arms and Monowire.
you no longer equip a mod in a slot, to add electrical, acid or fire damage, you buy a specific version of the monowire, gorilla arms, mantis blades or arm launcher (which no longer has sleepy gas rockets, sorry)

Dang, kinda liked some of that functionality, truly felt like a piece of hardware that could be upgraded, oh well.. Thanks.

oh, they can still be upgraded.
once you get a couple of perks from the skill tree, you can upgrade them better.

one lets you pick from 3 different optional upgrades when upgrading.
you can find versions that benefit different attributes now too, so some are Int based, some Str based ect, and play better with those skills if they are invested into.

give it some time, and i'm sure there will be a mod that lets you go back.
iirc there is one that returned the slot to the eye, because players wanted the Kiroshi mod that acts like the PAX mod.
but im not sure if that was updated to the newest version of the game or not.
