Any real reasons to use assault rifles when Hypercritical exsists?

I was going to try out and pretty standard, milquetoast, normal soldier build. No netrunning or fancy stuff. Just a pistol, an AR and a sniper rifle. Sneak 'n snipe when I can and use AR when thrown into combat.

Then I discovered the Hypercritical and it made any AR feel rather moot in comparison. It basically IS a semi automatic AR with an added feature. Also, I can completely forgo the left tree in reflexes for something else.

What do you think?

Hypercritical is a great weapon, but I find that every type of weapon in the game...particularly the Iconics_ has its merits. The player simply needs to experiment and discover their best application.

Osprey is also great yeah, but i don't like that it makes V slower. In the end my loadout was Psalm, Osprey and that "vampire effect" knife, i forgotten the name of it. There also is a pistol with explosive bullets that makes the target burn, that is also a great weapon.

If you are building for pistols and sniper rifles, yeah the precision rifles are going to perform WAAAAAAAY better than any of the ARs as all 3 of the weapons you chose use the same perk line while ARs use a completely different one.
