they look like a blue shield on the map with NCPD in the middle. just click them and follow the blue line. carefull the ones that say threat high or dangerous are tough.

At night, there's a lot of crime on the streets. Not the fastest way perhaps, but just kill gangs and loot. As long as they are wanted, they're fair game.
What you don't sell, you can dismantle. This quickly gives you XP and more in a very fun way imo.
Have fun OP and don't worry about money. The game is very generous in providing creds and resources.
cheers

Do the gigs and scanner jobs...gather up the dropped weapons and other items and sell them at a drop point. Note that in the early game, grinding for cash and better weapons is _supposed_ to be difficult. There are also data ports you can find where you jack in and download data and some cash. I recommend not doing the data port downloads unless you are really desperate. You can come back to the ones in public areas after your player level goes up some, and the payout will be greater. The payouts for selling clothing and weapons go up as well. Gigs will get a payout from fixers [mainly Regina Jones in the early game].

You don't really need a lot of money in the early game...you can pick up decent weapons and clothing as you play. V's car will also do for a while...don't buy a car at all if you don't have a lot of money. Plenty of free wheels will come your way through the game. You can just ignore the fixer messages about cars for sale.

crafting will make you super rich in no time ^^ crafting high rarity items, selling them, then buying up all crafting components...craft high rarity items, sell em, fast forward a day, buy out all the crafting components....
rince and repeat boom you are now rich :D
only downside is... if you arent going for a build that allows for crafting, then youre wasting some skillpoints here... so ye. if crafting fits your build. go that route :D

Aside from what everyone else said. I thought I'd throw in some other important bits of advice too.

Life choices don't matter for ♥♥♥♥. It's just flavour text.

Corpo life has the most unique dialogue followed by street kid and then nomad.

NEVER SELL OR DISMANTLE ICONIC WEAPONS - You can't get them back afterwards and you can never guarantee you won't use them or want to put them up on your weapon wall later. Make sure you stick every iconic weapon into your "stash" as soon as you get it if you don't use it.

Never sell legendary clothing. You won't be able to find it again and you might want to equip it just for lols.

Once you modify your arms with cyberware, you can't remove it. Your hands will always look modified instead of natural.

Don't do the gig: Greed Never Pays until you have a body check of 10. It's the only mission I know that hides a legendary crafting spec (crusher shotgun) behind a moveable wall. However, once you complete that mission, it'll lock you out of that area, so you can't get it. Sure, you can buy a legendary crusher shotgun, but the one you craft is more powerful.

Make sure to complete as many side missions, before the final mission. It just feels better, because the final main mission is ♥♥♥♥ and you won't want to play the game afterwards with such a poor aftertaste.

You never need to buy a car. It's just not necessary, since you can get the fastest car for free later.

Here are two of the fastest and nicest looking cars in the game:

Quadra Type-66 "Javelina" - Have at least 30 Street Cred. Purchase from a Fixer in The Badlands for $99,000. Best car for off road.

Rayfield Caliburn - Have at least 40 Street Cred. Obtain for free (black version) during Murk Man Returns Again Once More. The Ghost Town Main Quest will need to be complete. Best car for the city.

Bonus car:

Mizutani Shion “Coyote” - Damn good starter car. Have at least 20 Street Cred. Purchase from a Fixer in The Badlands for $77,000. Build for off road.

Also, chances are you'll want to max out the skill/perk Cold Blood. This is the fastest way.

The fastest way to level up your engineering perk (the one used to craft weapons) is this.

Don't sell any common or uncommon weapon. Ever. Always disassemble everything that has a white or green label.

Get level 18 technical skill. Put points into crafting and disassembling.

I had 100k of common and uncommon crafting materials of each after following just this advice for 22 hours.

Then I crafted as many uncommon grenades as I could and got 100k crafting exp from 2500 grenades. That pushed me from level 11 to 16 crafting in 2 seconds. Instead of 1 hour of repetitive ♥♥♥♥.

Then disassemble all those grenades and craft it again until you reach level 18 crafting perk level.

Now you can craft whatever you want. (Almost)

Of course you'll need to buy a few crafting materials, but after 21 hours of doing this on very hard. I had almost 500k credits.

If you want to level up any other skill or perk in the game. Your best bet is to explore Valentino Valley. There are 32 enemies you can kill by running around the block and they'll constantly respawn without you having to teleport away or fast forward time.

You can also shake off the police instantly by walking into any store and speaking with the seller.

Read the Reddit thread below and then the comment by the beta tester "Discourtesy-Call". It's an easy way to get a crap ton of free money and one of the most valuable mods in the game. (Extra damage against enemies based on their levels)

The locations of all the best legendary clothing in the game - https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/11avcrx/best_clothing_mod_locations/

The best grenade in the game is the "Gash Antipersonnel Grenade". A silent disco ball laser grenade. The enemy can't dodge it 99% of the time. It's silent and does the most damage. The second best is the basic frag grenade or the nose grenade.

That's about it really.

Level up.

This game has levelled loot, so if you're a level 2 character, you're finding level 2 loot, which is as worthless as it sounds. But it doesen't stay that way, the more you level up, the easier it gets to make money, because the loot level climbs with your level.

When you first start the game, guns that you pick up from defeated enemies sell for pathetic prices like 31 eddies.
When you're level 50, you will routinely pick up guns from the ground that are worth 2500 eddies.

So don't worry too much about making money early in the game, as you can't really, just focus on leveling up, do jobs. You can make lots of money later in the game.

Yes, the higher level you are the more loot is worth.
(Enemies scale based on your level and will be a minimum of (Your Level - 5), and drop loot at that item level.)
