Downgrade to 31 January 2023 Update (no Path Tracing)

1st : open steam > Win+R = steam://open/console
2nd : write download_depot 1091500 1091501 5482504662439830481
3rd : wait for download (Check Task Manager If your Network is downloading just to make sure steam is downloading the update)
4rd : Delete the Actual game and Drag Drop the content from : \Steam\steamapps\content to your actual Cyberpunk 2077 Directory.
5th : disable update by clicking on cyberpunk 2077 in your library > properties > Switch Always keep this game updated to Only update this game when I launch it.
6th : Have fun !

Devs : Please give us the option to select the version of the game we want in Beta section in properties <3

I confirm. I did it yesterday and it works. Saves made at 1.62 open at 1.61. This is the only way to get rid of this tragic patch. Nobody asked for it (how many people have 4090 to play it?) and they forced everyone to test it.

This was the last time I allowed Cyberpunk 2077 to update automatically. Never again.

No one forces you to enable path tracing. I have a 4080 and I like it. Many other people like it too :)

The issue is not that it has path tracing that a very low % of the playbase can use, the issue is all the bugs that the patch introduced for basically everyone.

Thank you OP, not all heroes wear capes but you certainly are one of them - hero, I mean.

Is there an executable similar to what SKSE does for Skyrim by chance, so we can prevent the game from updating alltogether by running through a different executable?

I needed to waste hours downloading update i can't even use, and the game crashes now. Not often but twice in the last 3 hours and never before the patch.

Good morning ! Thanks for reacting to this thread , the reason why I shared this is because the game crashes a lot , I don't use Ray Tracing at all in this game , I prefer smooth experience because I have RTX 3060Ti with R7 3700x So my Pc isn't that powerful (certainly I can use Raytracing (not Path Tracing) with DLSS and I hit only 50 fps on Ultra .. so I won't bother doing that , without raytracing I hit 100 Fps on custom settings , which I am satisfied with !
Now , let's talk about the update they did lately , 3 things that broke my game :
whenever I customize my keybinding and start switching from Inventory to crafting (using my mouse 2 sided left buttons) the game crash for no reason , 2nd issue is when I call my car for some reason the game crash , and the third one is when I add mods , a mod I used to play with was working fine , and now it didn't for some unknown reasons !
with the downgrade I did , my game runs flawlessly good and stable , and this is what I care about !

i could not get passed the launch screen. i hope i can do the fix u posted. i am not very computer savy
