Secret ending not working

Hello all,

So I have a current relationship with johnny is 85% . I also downloaded the mod for console command and enter this command"Game.GetQuestsSystem():SetFactStr("sq032_johnny_friend", 1)"

Which does take, but my on screen relationship still shows unchanged. I do this command right before the rooftop with Johnny.

Still no option to go in with Johnny on a final mission.

Can someone help me figure this out? I watched so many youtubes and read forms online, but for some reason that option still does not come up.

You dont mess with those commands or you'll break the save, most of the Johnny relationship progress is accumulated during the chippin' in side-quest. Anything I mention beyond that, it'll be spoilers. But this side quest is one if not the most important to get your levels up to 75% which is enough to trigger the solo ending.

The percentage requirement is and always has been misinformation. The requirement for the secret ending is specific conversation choices in a specific scene with Silverhand. The percentage will increase to a certain point by the time you get there and do that conversation, so many people believed and continue to believe that it is a valid indicator it is not.

Edit: You can get a high percantage with Johnny without completing the required scene or choosing the wrong conversation options in that scene, however you cannot get to that scene without getting a high percentage with Johnny so it's useless to tell you if you made the unlock requirement. It can at best tell you you haven't reached that scene yet. And that only if you didn't do something else that put you over the threshold that the scene will get you to.

i just did the secret ending this evening, and the youtube video's say when on the roof top of Misty's Esoterica to wait five minutes before deciding and I did the five minutes after arguing with Johnny saying maybe I should take Hanako Arasaka offer, I waited five minutes and then Johnny spoke up and the option for the secret ending started

As NorthernDavid said, it's reliant on your response choices during the oil field scene in the Chippin' In quest. The percentage isn't the deciding factor here, though you should already be up there by the time you've reached Misty's Esoterica rooftop.

Make sure you've chosen all the right responses at the oil fields with Johnny.

I didn't do chippin and had it as a quest in my journal to do and got the secret ending

I did it first time last week. I did the specific choices during "Chippin In" then like the guide said, I offered to choose one of the other paths, then Johnny said something like "Are you sure?", the prompts for confirmation or choosing a different path then showed, and I did nothing for 5 minutes. Then Johnny just offers idea to go for it solo.

Also, I bet if console commands were involved would have to set all the convo flags maybe for Chippin In to correct ones? And not just doing getquest stuff. But I don't know.

That percentage looks to be measuring how much of V has become similar to Johnny, V's brain being more and more compatible with Johnny rather than V.

(iirc, that number shoots up from a certain event where Johnny has a wild night out. It feels more like a Johnny's taking over V's brain progress bar. Would've been neat if, through a lot of resisting Johnny, that V could've recovered from the end and survived with V's own brain if that number remained low, but that's even more out-of-tune with Night City than Path of Glory.)
