Easy to mod?
I want to play some more cyberpunk and as I already intent to download ultra plus again I was wondering how easy or hard it is to mod cyberpunk?

I'm mainly looking to use some immersion mods, like better movements, relationship stuff and for example seeing your body when looking down.

But I don't want to lose myself in dependencies, troubleshoots and mod adjustments as this generaly leads me to exhaustion and never actually playing the game I spent hours adjusting.

Heard recently that what moding there is for this game has CDPR thinking real hard about better mod support for the next game. I hope they also think about it on consoles as well. I believe they want to create a Skyrim experience that can live forever due to mods.
Very easy yes all you got to do is download the mods want and the corresponding scripts then drag and drop into the directory of cyberpunk and then you're done but make sure you have all the necessary scripts before trying to use these mods cuz otherwise the mods won't work that needs the corresponding script.

Also make sure they are up to date most mods are up to date but there are a few that may or may not work so be aware of that as well. Those ones from what I gather would be anything that hasn't been updated for the current version of cyberpunk I believe the cutoff is like 2023 I could be wrong about that though.

Also quick edit try and avoid redmod because it has horrible compatibility issue from what I've heard in other words it makes mods not always compatible with each other so there's that too

It's easy, use Vortex Mod Manager and then download the mod from Nexus website.
Some mod have depedency to another mod for it work properly but worry not most modder already mentioned about it in the descriptions of their mod or Nexus itself will warn you about it.

You can watch short youtube vidio of how to set up Vortex for CP2077 (worry not it's easy) after it's done all you need to do is drag the mod archive (.rar/.zip) to Vortex to install it and you can also remove the mod from there, also Vortex makes no change to the game original files.
200+ mods here, i exclusively install manually. AVOID Vortex, it really behave poorly with this game, and when there are important updates it leave cache behind that tend to crash the game, most of the complaints about issue and crashes while modding are due to Vortex.

That said, just go to nexus, manually download your mods, and read install instructions, it's nothing more the drag and drop.

Hey guys thanks for those answers.

I will try the drag and drop method and see what sticks.

Those that not stick I will delete and if deleting starts making problems I'll just deinstall Cyberpunk and play something else.

I endorse Vortex...just be careful about setting it up and using it correctly. The problem with drag'n'drop is that you have to be very aware of what files go where, and troubleshooting any problems will be very difficult. TBH, I don't think D'n'D is a method for newbies.

If your mod setup goes FUBAR, there are a couple of batch file 'mods' on Nexus that will wipe out _all_ mods so you can start fresh. Look for Mod Remover or Cyberclean.

If you know how to copy and paste, you can install mods.

I think its pretty easy.
I run maybe... 40-50 mods if I count everything (even the super tiny stuff, like 'skip intro splashscreens'). Plenty of them I did myself.
Regaring "keeping them up to date": In general you need to update the mod frameworks when a patch comes. There's like 5 of them. Just do yourself a favor and make a list of which you need, with a link to the download page.
Typicaly it will be
-CET
-CodeAware
-TweakXL
and maybe a few more, depending on what was changed during the patch (cybercmd, redscript...)
also set your game to update only when you play, because if they release another patch it will likely brake your game. if and when they do release a new patch switch steam to offline mode and launch your game. it will run fine in offline mode
