Did a script break on me?

I got the guy's message that I can pick up the Quadra V-Tech, he says it's in Rancho in his message, but there's not any form of map marker for it, so I have a hunch the script did not run properly or something, cause as of right now I can't get the car despite the fact I should be.

Had to look up where the car spawns, going near it caused the quest to appear finally.
Not sure why it didn't just pop up outright to begin with.

Yes, it has done that for every single one of my playthroughs. Very annoying.

I could have sworn it didn't use to though. Now it's as if the quest trigger is tied to the car spawning, and it doesn't spawn until you load that area again. Weird.

I've gotten this job from a phone call both times I've done it, of that I'm pretty certain (99% ).

There are several ways to trigger it:

"About a day after returning Jake Estevez's pickup truck, V is contacted by Jake and instructed to go to a garage at the cargo station in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo. Once at the garage, V can get behind the wheel of their new Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech."


"The quest can be started manually by approaching the garage."


"If V failed to complete Gig: Life's Work, V will be contacted by Muamar Reyes instead and have to clear the area of Scavengers first before being able to take the vehicle."
