I've had this game installed, along with Phantom Liberty, for a loooong time but am finally just getting around to playing it. Night City is pretty amazing, not gonna lie. Overwhelming, actually.

My question is, counting the dlc and say that I'm the kind of player who looks into every nook and cranny and does as many side quests as possible without rushing the main storyline, approximately how many hours am I looking at for single play through?

I'm working through my first playthrough now. I have 114 hours played and have completed the main story of the base game and DLC but I'm still finding new side quests and gigs. This game is a masterpiece.

That's awesome. Are the side quests on the same level as those in The Witcher 3?

I sunk I think 100 hours for a full clear, main story, all gigs, all DLC content, all cars, some screwing around, exploring and photo taking and buying all the cars. Easy 100 hours to do all the things, and easily another 50 hours if you really like walking around exploring on foot. (edit; checked my save and that one is sitting at 120 hours.)

Found a body stuffed in a dumpster in some out of way back alley once lol, also a decent amount of things to be found among all the trash piles out in the desert dump area

How about incentive for a replay after that?

If you could completely 100% the game in one run it would take a looooong time. You can't though, it is impossible from a lore and story perspective. Replay is there via the different skill trees, endings, and characters choices you make along the way.

Well there's three character background/starts you can choose which each give unique dialog options here and there through the story (Don't expect TOO much here)
You can respec around a little with your perks, but you can only redo your attributes once iirc, so more reason to start a fresh run, you can do all the endings after doing one, it just pops you back at the point of no return to go explore or do the last act a different way, assuming you did the proper setups earlier in the game, if you didn't then that's a required replay to make sure those get done. There's as much replay-ability as you want there to be I feel like.

My current 120+ hour run is a body build with gorilla arms and the millitec sandy, but I'm missing the netrunner achievements so I'm probably going to make a new character (maybe male V this time) but go full netrunner build, also to redo DLC to get some of the other endings there.

Actually playing today the recent update added a new thing, finding little joker sprays around the city I guess? invite comes in a text

I am on my 4th play through, i always do absolutely everything i can do, take it slow ,and enjoy the scenery. I got 559 Hours out of it so far, including DLC
Depends on the player. i have a friend that takes double time compared to me to do the same exact things, while another is much faster than me.
Do you take a lot of breaks? do you sit down and play 8 hours straight without even go bio?

Let's say, between 70 and 140 hours, depending on how focused you are.
this games is huge. You get tons of content
I appreciate all the replies, gang. At this point I'm still just walking around listening to conversations and poking my nose into everything. Honestly, I'm pretty blown away by the sheer scope and level of detail

Just play the game how you want to play. If you start worrying about hours, what is the point? You play to have fun, not count the hours it takes to do this and that.
Yep measuring in time is like getting excited about all you can eat buffets. In both cases you're confusing (and conflating) quantity and quality.

I spent 600 hours on my first playthrough (I wasn't keeping track of time). Did a lot of exploration. Piecing together some puzzles and found many easter eggs as well as hidden gems, including a cool big wheeler monster truck you get to keep. ;)

I'm on my 4th play now. Did the 3 life paths already and now restarting again. If you get caught up in it's crazy web like I did, it will easily stretch for longer than 100 hours. But again, like others have said, don't worry about that aspect.

My tip for you and anyone who's just starting out, is to allow yourself to be fully immersed. I mean, really pretend you're V and play out your personal story in Night City. The more you sink your teeth into it, the better the experience. The visuals are just the icing on the multilayered cake.

Limit your presence in communities like this one. Sometimes communities can ruin a good vibe (or spoil certain things). The game is your game. Your story. Not anyone else's. Play it your way and have fun!

Depends on how much you wanna do and roam around.

Probably between 40 and 80 hours, depending. Give or take.
