Why nerf a Comrade's Hammer?

Before patch 2.0, it was the most powerful revolver in the game. After patch 2.0, you can't look at it without tears — it's absolutely useless compared to other guns. One bullet and the damage is ridiculous. Question to the developer: why?

Maybe they saw that people were turning to a single solution for everything.

You can freely mod the game to regain the unbalanced stats of weapons from 2.x.
