ray reconstruction makes my game crash
as soon as i enabled the ray reconstruction option in game after a few seconds the game crashed, and when i wanna relaunch the game after a few seconds crashes.
i think it has something to do with the new update+ dlss4 stuff.
im already on the new nvidia driver on a rtx 4070

Error reason: Assert
Expression: <Unknown>
Message: Gpu Crash for unknown reasons! Callstack here is probably irrelevant. Check if Breadcrumbs or Aftermath logged anything useful.
File: E:\R6.Release\dev\src\common\gpuApi\src\dx12\gpuApiDX12Error.cpp(42)
This? if yes, i have the same problem

Same, I updated the last Nvidia drivers (572.16) and still crash, I thought it might be because I used DLSS Swapper, but it seems like there are more people having the same problem.

On fresh driver mine hangs PC, then it reboots, after that nvidia software offers to send report.
Didn't use dlss swapper, just updated nvidia drivers.
Game crashes on startup, before main menu.
If I delete config file, game runs OK. I switch on all on ultra ect, test passes ok.
If i try to restart the game - crash again before main menu.

yeah someone told me that it could have been because we didnt had the driver update then, but now that we do have it and we still getting crashes after enabling ray reconstruction this means is an issue idk if its nvidia or cdpr but someone needs to take a look on this for sure, if not both parties.

This didn't happen to me before, in fact when I tried to update the drivers through the Nvidia App I got an error, I did it manually from the web and that's when the errors started, perhaps this latest update is not fully optimized.

when you say before you mean before cyberpunk updated, if so then yeah it used to be fine before, but after the update and the addition of transformers dlss4, RR just didnt work anymore because it crashes.

would be helpful if the rest that are having the issues are also 4070 or different gpus.
the only alternative is to delete the setting file, and set every configuration again, except Ray Reconstruction, otherwise crashes gonna happen again, this is not a solution though...

Before Nvidia driver update, not game update.

and were you already using the dlss4 before the driver update? because the problem started for me when i used the new dlss before the driver and the game update otherwise it used to work fine.

Yes, the game had already been updated to DLSS 4 and I was playing for a while without any problems. It has to be this Nvidia update that is bad or I touched things in the DLSS Swapper program that I shouldn't have.

you could always revert it to the "original file" in dlss swapper but tbh i doubt thats the issue.

In fact, that's what I've done with no effect, I'm still having crashing problems, this is probably the new Nvidia driver.
