Is there any way to customize the car body kits?

I found this article (https://www.gameslearningsociety.org/how-to-customize-your-car-in-cyberpunk-2077/) online at the top of my searches when searching for car customization, and it suggests you can customize anything from the color to performance to body kits, but when I searched online videos, all I can see is how to customize the car colors in the Rayfield menu.

Did this article lie, or is there some in game way to customize these things? Because I can't find anything online regarding where you'd modify everything else other than through mods.

Oh well. I was about to download the vehicle customization mod but stopped when I came across this article in case it was added in game. Guess I'll just go ahead and get the mod.
