Manual Modding vs Vortex?
I love mods but I swear every time we get an update my game breaks and I have to re install the whole game again. I Just wonder if I should give up on Vortex? With this latest update for 2.21 I updated all of my core mods CET Codeware tweak etc... I couldn't even launch my game. So I uninstalled and re installed.

I tried going one by one adding mods. first CET but it didn't work using vortex I have redmod enabled with Vortex, then I tried to just launch the game and it crashed immediately without even launching the Launcher lol. So for the third time today I'm now re downloading the game...

Can anyone recommend a good guide to the best way to mod this game without breaking Cyberpunk? I love this game and most of my mods are cosmetic use only.

Just not sure if Vortex or manually modding is better. :(

I think red4ext is busted. I rolled back and sure enough the game booted. But my mods were still broken.
when you get used to vortex i find it a lot easier. I usually find with cp that the graphics mods dont really affect too much, its the other mods that can affect it, but you can easily turn them off to keep playing until the mods are updated.

Vortex works just fine, but you need to be careful about setting it up. Look at the Vortex Support> Getting Started page on Nexusmods and follow the instructions carefully. Once you have it properly installed, it makes modding life much, much easier.

Prefer manual for this game. I want to know exactly what mods goes into the main folder oppose to letting a manager handle it.

Doing it manually will give you better hands on experience with modding and trouble shooting in the future vs a streamlined hand holding approach.
