I started this game for the first time around 3 weeks ago. I got 40 hours clocked right now but most of it has been testing stuff and modding.
Embarassingly, I haven't even completed The Heist yet...
yes, there are mods. while they may not (yet) add significant content, they add playability for many.
a new mod was released recently (a work in progress) that can re-enable some of the NCPD points again.
if this works, we might be able to re-enable gigs, or even find ways to add new gigs ontop of old gigs, depending on how things work.
there is a 'survival gameplay' mod called Dark Future.
multiple difficulty mods (Enemies of night city, lifepath bonuses and gang-corp traits, hardcore 22v2)
a mod that will let V join a gang (gangs of nigh city)
one that adds cyberpsychosis to the game much like the anime (wannabe edgerunners)
a mod that lets you find every in game easter egg within the game itself, rather than using an outside guide (missing persons: fixers hidden gems, and its expansion add on)
many new places (mostly for photoshoots) but some that add apartments or hideouts.
a mod to let you pet your cat, or have cats at your other apartments (pet your cat, apartments cats)
new cars. new guns. new cyberware.
a mod that lets you visit and interact with areas from the anime (night city interactions-core and its others distict add ons)
you can be a courier, a taxi driver.
for some folks, they like to try new builds.
for some, new builds with roleplaying (so choosing what that V will and wont do, wear, how they will or wont act ect)
walking around the city. driving around the city.
many many mods with clothing. tattoo's. hair, skin and eyes.
photo mode unlockers, poses, enhancers.
a lot of the pictures you see if you venture into the screenshots or artwork section are made using the photomode unlockers and sposes, along with all the shiny new clothing that works via ArchiveXL and TweekXL mods (new unique items that do not overwrite in game items)
i'm at around 1k hours tho it only shows me around 600 for steam, because i prefer older patches (still at 2.02 right now lol. i love my Metro Mod, and my graphics card is only a 1660 so im staying here for a while lol)
Oh, I'm not that much into role playing and things like clothing and styles don't interest me and hard core mods that increase difficulty are not my thing either, but thanks. I'm gonna have to look into more mods then. I already had lots of new weapons and cars but that doesn't add much to the time you spend in the game.
Missing persons: fixers hidden gems - yup, I did this one, both for the base game and for PL.
Thanks!

repeatable NCPD gigs - WIP (the mod that lets you re-enable some of the ncpd jobs)
might be useful

stealthrunner- stealth gameplay expansion (new stealth based targets, new custom cyberwear and perks system for stealth players)
Yeah, this one sounds cool too. I really appreciate this :)
