Anyone know where the mods are located?
I went to play through PL on my completed save that I heavily modded but booted the game to test how stable it is to see if it even needs updating mod wise but runs perfectly fine so I went to check what mods I got currently and my mod file is empty?

I ain't the brightest I'd admit but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I'm confused because isn't it suppose to complain when loading a modded file that you don't have all the mods for this save file?

I checked mod folder which is empty, apparently don't even have nexus downloaded and mod organiser is empty aswell so I'm baffled

If you use framework mods like CET, ArchiveXL and so on then many files go into their own folders.

R6 is one, as is a specific cyber engine tweaks own folder.
I have shortcuts on my desktop to the main scripts. R6 ect folders because I manual mod
(I'm not on pc right now tho, or I'd list them)

The best way to find them (tho I'm not sure if this applies to vortex users) is to go to the mod page, find the download and look for the line that lets you check the files.
This should open a tree kinda thing with the paths showing the files. But the listing is pretty much the same as where they go, at least for manual placement.

Should give you a place to look I think

Yeah, mods put files in 1-4ish different places, depending on the mod.

.archive files go in /archive/pc/mod, and it would be surprising to have a bunch of mods installed but no .archive files. So if that's empty, and your mod manager also doesn't show your mod install. . . sounds like something very strange happened.

No real idea about mod organizer, though. Never used it for anything, and I did all my CP mods manually.
I think that there is a folder higher up called mods tho.
And iirc those might be where REDMod mods go?
I've never used a REDMod mod before tho. Manual installation 'legacy' style has always been how I've modded cyberpunk.

So, if the op is looking in that folder called mods, and they've never used a REDMod mod ether, it might make sense for the folder to be empty.

Love how steam didn't let me know my post got messages,

Regardless, I had a look at the archive file inside the gamefile and their is definitely some mods in their. Not sure if it's all my mods but it's definitely some I remember so it means's they are installed so when I come back home I'll search around my files on a wild goose chase because 2 updates hit since I downloaded my mods so more than likely they are just broken asf even tho it didn't CTD off the bat.

Thanks for the help <3

Most go to:
\Cyberpunk 2077\mods

Some go to:
\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod

Some may even go:
\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64 (Which makes them hard to phish out among the game files)

Some go to their own:
\Cyberpunk 2077\red4ext
\Cyberpunk 2077\r6

Some may even go elsewhere.
now im on my pc..

so i have shortcuts to
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\r6"

also, there is a 'scripts' part of the R6 folder

these are the places i usually put mod files and their part into.

hope these give you a start on where to look.

I had a look in all the spots suggested and I'm seeing afew but seems to be very scattered and could be completely wrong but I believe I have more mods than that.

I gotta run for afew hours but once I get home I'm thinking of tryna install afew new mods to see how the process works and where the files go to hopefully give me a idea because it's been so long.

Thanks for the help, I'll let ya know how it goes when I get home <3

Looks like your mod setup is pretty badly messed up. You might want to consider using Cyberclean or Mod Remover and just ripping everything out and starting over. You might also want to get your Vortex working properly...it's very useful for ensuring everything goes to the right place.

as Tokenn said... Cyberclean.

Cyberclean mod.
its a small .bat file you place in the main cyberpunk folder and run.
clears fragments of left behind mods out. the 'CyberNuke' option gets stains out from high orbit

(it does remove everything, so you need to reinstall mods. but its the best way i think to remove mods. used earlier versions myself)
