I think there are mods maybe for Virgil's gear? The swords perhaps?
If there are, then check with a youtuber called Dalfang,
They are always up for the challenge of a new specific build (especially if it's someone named) and if there are mods for their gear at least.
They have done Deadpool, Batman, Blade and are looking to make a Wolverine in Night City vid too.
(Waiting on 3 bladed mantis blades, I think they said)
Berserk if you want to go the "hit them with a sword" DMC. Sandvestien if you want to go "DAKKA with bullets" or "mix of both" DMC.
A Kerenzikov chrome plus the Reflex 'Air Kerenzikov' ability lets you do the "float in the air while shooting enemies" thing.
Honestly the Reflex tree seems like a safe bet no matter what direction you go for with such a character.
Otherwise there's a LOT of options to deal damage to enemies with in those games, so hard to recommend further without knowing how you like to play your Dante.
If you plan to go more swords as primary, having at least 4 points in Cool you can at least get an ability to use your Sandvestien and Kerenzikov while driving.
If swords, them keep putting it into Reflex and put the points saved from Cool into Body for "not dying when hit".
Tech is a safe best no mater the build, because you can never have enough Chrome in your body. Edgerunner can also act like a discount Berserk (though that's never the main reason to take it).
