''Don't Lose your Mind'': can't find control room

i'm in the hall where all the Delamain cars are having meltdown and driving aimlessly and the objective says ''find a way into the control room'' while the marker points to the large garage door that for the life of me just can't seem to open or interact with in any way
did I break the quest? what's going on?

UPDATE: seems like I had to go through a trapdoor in the hall to progress. mission markers are seriously misleading sometimes.

It's true...the minimap is occasionally very unhelpful and the quest icons misleading.
