Where to find gear?
So im level 12 and 99% of loot from mobs are weapons and junk items.. No armor. Is the game being changed? Should i go shop some armor somewhere?

You can both find or buy various clothing items that add resistances. Body armor for armor, helmets for armor, melee resistance, quickhack upload delay for enemies, netrunner body suit for upload delay and such.
Don't know how much RNG is involved, but I also didn't find much early on in my current game. Then when I got to level ... 40 or so, I suddenly started finding tons and at level 60 I'm finding so much it's almost getting annoying.

I have no idea how much they help, but I always wear what I find, just because you may as well (just note that things are a little weird in that, if you scrap them, you can still put them on in the wardrobe, but you won't get the resistances. You have to have them in your inventory and then put them on. They'll be hidden by whatever you've put on in the wardrobe).

The other key is that with 2.0, they made most clothing entirely cosmetic. The vast majority of your "armor" will come from cyberware and perks.

As mentioned, there's a little armor/etc on the actual "body armor" items - combat vests & helmets. But it's just token amounts compared to what you get elsewhere.

Yeah clothing is basically cosmetic use actual worn for stats then use the outfit thing for how you actually look. In terms of survive-ability its perks and cyberware. I can handle max diff without death being a real issue.
