is it playable? i played on ps4 loved it....would you guys recommened im not buying a controller just to play this...input appreciated.

Yes, entirely playable.

Some games I play with a controller, some I wouldn't even consider trying with one -- and this game's in the latter category.
Personal preference, obviously.

Most games on PC are made to be played on M/KB. This one is no exception.
Though driving can leave a bit to be desired (let me switch between steering with the dam mouse or the KB!!), that one takes some getting used to and it seems most of us stuck to bikes at first.

Overall, yes, it is very playable with keyboard/mouse. HOWEVER, the driving is apparently a lot easier with a controller. If it comes down to it, an XBox controller usually works fine on a PC. Can even find PC controllers that are laid out like PS controllers.

I am a huge mouse and keyboard player, However this game is very enjoyable at high refresh rate with an Xbox One controller.

i would highly recommend a controller for driving. Otherwise, mouse and keyboard preferable.

Yes driving is trickier, specifically turning accurately, but still doable. I won races with kb/m
in a powerful (slippery) car, a bit of high speed braking/turning practice beforehand can help if you don't often drive that way :P
For combat I'll take kb/m over a controller any day, it always feels more responsive and accurate to me.

If you still have the controller, it works with the PC, no need to buy another.
