From the article:
You can replace the .dll and that's it (same for frame gen and ray reconstruction)
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/
I've been doing this a bit, but as the OP mentions, with the new feature you can enable the different options from within the Nvidia app soon. I suspect it will automatically download the latest dll's for you, and will use them in all games that support them.
The article mentions DLSS 4 will be available when the 50xx cards launch, so... I don't know when that is.
5070-5070ti=Feb
The above per nvidia announcement yesterday.
5060-5060ti=march-april (speculation)
5050 and below=no idea
I'm more interested in Reflex 2. Will be for the 50xx series initially then later to the rest of the RTX cards. I think 20xx and 30xx users would really appreciate it especially. But yes also looking forward to DLSS 4.0 improvements. Especially if it can reduce some shimmering and ghosting which it looks like it can. My only issue was shimmering and i preferred DLSS Quality vs DLAA as it had less shimmering. Which i always found odd as you'd think DLAA would have less.

But thankfully this game did make me update my puter.
The actual thing is like idk okay I guess.
also you're actually playing at 1080p but its upscalled to 4K so it can become even more blurry along side the fake frame jank, truly groundbreaking, cant wait for the new norm for optimization to be 20 fps, hell half the player base of stalker 2 didnt even notice they were using frame gen
