Game Stability in 2025?
Just curious how the game stability is as of now, like if it still crashes, freezes, etc and if there’s any settings you guys would recommend to prioritize performance, I don’t mind the graphics, just like to play at a constant 120fps-144fps. I’d like to start a new and smooth play through again :)

My PC specs:
Windows 11
GPU: RTX 3090 ti
CPU: Intel Core i9 14900k
64 GB RAM
1600W Power Supply
iCUE 120mm Fans + 360mm Radiator Liquid Cooling System

14700K/ 4090. Ultra settings/ HDR/ 32:9. The game runs quite well on my setup, I haven't experienced any crashes or freezing since the game has been updated. IMO this game looks amazing...

I had problems frequently, crashes, ingame errors (mostly related to controls, like wrong key mapping or something that was looking like if some key was permanently pressed and kbd was not responding) several times everything completely froze.

Played since release, still no issues.

With a system like that, it's user error.
As a quick comparison i just ran the benchmark as below. You should perform roughly 73% of what i get. So maybe turn down some visual settings to High or use DLSS Balanced which actually looks fine. Just don't go below that. Nothing overclocked.

As for stability it's extremely stable here and always has been.

If you start having issues getting the FPS target, you'll probably have to use a mod that lets you use a pseudo DLSS frame gen on the 3090 Ti (keep in mind it looks terrible and doesn't perform as well as actual DLSS as it's using FSR)

Not true, FSR Frame Gen is superior to Nvidia's implementation; lower overhead (ergo less frames lost for turning it on) with the same visual quality. This has been documented for a while now.

The reverse is only true for upscaling technologies, although frankly, I still find DLSS ugly as ♥♥♥♥; it cannot resolve rain at all (something this game has in droves), and its antialiasing technique is a shimmery nightmare if you're not enabling raytracing effects at the same time, which then begs the question: what's the point of DLAA as a seperate option when nobody is raytracing at native with today's most common resolutions, anyway?

At least Frame Gen comes in clutch for poorly optimized disasters like 2077 and Bethsoft titles, while being imperceivable with native implementation, and only marginally less so when using something like Lossless Scaling.
Nvidia frame gen is 100% not worth using. Latency loss is insane. Its basically a turn on lag switch.
Latency was horrible with DLSS Framegen. It used to double your latency. But dlss updates and more so the driver updates have really helped. And or Reflex is finally working correctly. Now it just adds a little more. And worse your framerate the more it adds vs without framegen. I just ran a few tests using game's benchmark with and without framegen.

No FrameGen 63fps vs FG ON 125fps=added 5ms
No Framegen 38fps vs FG ON 67fps=added 15ms

So ya not great results with low fps before enabling Framegen. This is why i tell everyone to use it only if you get 45fps min prior to enabling it. Using Frameview to benchmark PCL. This is PC Latency that is cpu+gpu. It's actually a bit more than that but trying to keep it simple. Note pretty darn good results if you get near 60fps before turning on Framegen. I can understand why Nvidia suggests 60fps now.

Update for everyone: I ran the games bench mark with high density crowd with no ray tracing and a couple of other settings were set to high but most were to medium (performance over quality for me) and the results came back with the average FPS of 142.34 which is exactly where I’d love to be. Thank you guys for all the advice and suggestions :) i also have 33 pretty soft mods installed, mostly muscles mods for my male V, UI mods, some weapons and cyberware mods so i don’t think it’ll run into any issues if you guys say its been running with rare chances of crashing :) thank you!

The game is mostly stable, I will get a rare crash here and there but only when I use Ray Tracing,

Bugs are almost entirely fixed but still have some,

Honestly it's an impossible question because hardware matters and unless someone has your exact setup it's impossible to say just how stable it will be.

The game as a whole has been playable and in acceptable shape since the 1.5 patch in 2022.

Yeah I haven’t had any issues either, I just wanted to know since there a number of people who has stated that they had experienced issues in the past with the game

In fact i finished the game in two weeks and had zero crash when it launched, sure had minor and average annoying bugs.. but crash? never.
No clue what you exactly talking about
I have never experienced crashes myself either, however, my troops were talking how bad the game was when it first launched and how it struggled to have stability there for a moment so I just wanted to ask the community if it’s stable in the current state, i personally haven’t ran into issues, just looking out for my Airmen :)
I'd say yes, it's stable. It's still possible to run into crashes or bugs like every other game in their current state.

In my experience, on my rig (12700k, 4080), CP is very sensitive and crash prone with higher GPU overclocking. If you're running into crashing and have your gpu OC'd, try lowering the OC or setting to stock and see how that goes.

I recently decided to reinstall and play and now I am getting freezing and crashes . I never had this issue before. I am running a 12900k with a 4090. I think it may have to do with the Ray tracing . ill have to do more testing but I have to load my first boot save twice to get in game and if I decide to fast travel any where the game crashes as well as when I open some menus . No mods installed Yet!

No its my original save from launch. I don't do more then one play thru of anything. I got it running I had to switch SSD's away from my windows SSD and on to my second. But now the launcher wont launch it just raw launches from Steam I don't know why that happened.
