confused about when Chippin' In starts

if Nocturne Op55N1 is in my journal to do next, does that mean I didn't get Johnny's Chippin' In quest? or does it start at embers after refusing to help Hanoka ?

Am I supposed to let Goro Takemura die during search and destroy to get Johnny's Chippin' In mission/quest?

I could of sworn Johnny took you to a ruined hotel where he gave you his dog tag to show you his trust in you

chippin in is a side quest so long as you completed tapeworm it should be available

depends on Johnnys disposition towards you by the final Tapeworm? I saved Goro in my playthrough and after Tapeworm in the ruined hotel bit and saying that i wouldnt take a bullet for Johnny; chippin in, Nocturne and Dog eat dog missions spammed me.

Nope the quest is available even if I save Takemura.

You must complete all the Tapeworm segments with Johnny for Chippin In to activate.
