Anyone else getting improved performance in 2.2?
I noticed that it said in the patch notes updated thread usage specifically for Arrow Lake, Intels latest failure product. Supposedly it will increase your 285K performance by 33% which puts it near 3-4 year old CPU's.

Jokes on Arrow Lake aside, I noticed what seems to be a big bump in performance on my 13700K. The game feels extremely smooth now compared to 2.1. Not just in frame rates but in loading times and the time it takes to launch the game especially.

Anyone else seeing this or am I just crazy?

Running it maxed out, it does feel like the frame pacing is more stable. 2.1 in general felt wonky in terms of performance compared to 2.0 and it seems like they fixed a decent amount of that when making cpu optimizations.

Maybe I'm crazy too... I'n not noticing much better frame rates (maybe a very slight bump) but the game looks _really_ clear and bright, sharper. But then I deactivated the LUT I was using, so maybe it's that? Movement seems smoother...

However...is anybody else seeing their HUD and Inventory icons missing or messed up/wrong? Maybe it's just me...I started a new game and saw this immediately. The new character creation additions...mainly to eye colour, seemingly are nice. Nomad V starts out with better looking clothes and a pistol your didn't see at the very beginning of the prologue. Getting through the Nomad Intro car chase seems easier, but the Scav apartment boss was tougher. Again, maybe just me...

Edit: I had some mods I've used for a long time activated. The icon problem I saw went away when I deactivated _everything_. Looks like a little troubleshooting is in order...oh well.

Using the Edgerunners shotgun I have noticed it feels a lot less janky to use compared to 2.1. Can't comment on any update before that as far as shotguns but the responsiveness in terms of canceling reloads to shoot or melee seems a lot better along with the responsiveness to start reloading. Considering the capstone perk rewards you for weaving it is certainly welcome.

Yeah I'm playing at 1440P maxed out with PT+DLAA and frame gen on. The game looks amazingly good but in 2.1 the frame pacing was all over the place and it made FG stutter a lot. I can't even tell FG is on the way its running right now where previously it was really obvious.

Runs like butter on my 285K. How long until your 13700K degrades and dies?

Never, because I run it at 5.6 all-core with a capped VID like anyone with functioning brains did. Its a launch day chip. Only plebs that have no idea how anything works let RL boost single core with 1.5+ volts. You can be salty that my 2-gen old i7 craps on your "Ultra 9" for frame rates all day lol

Had the same Problem the "Always best Quality" Mod caused the problem in my case

I'm getting weird drops and sound cuts every other block driving around. I think it's loading new sections of the city or something (Not new like added, just I haven't arrived yet) everything stutters for a second I drop from 60 to around 30-40 frames and the sound gets really messy/white noise then it fixes, then another block and it drops again.

The notes say they improved performance on Intel CPUs by up to 33%
