Character Creation is too limited

is it just me or is the character creation of making a character seems limited?

It's since 2.0, it used to have a much better skill system before, now it's so limited in scope that you can basically pick one weapon and be fine the whole game.

depends on what you want to customise.
mods can usually do what you want.

there are lots of hair mods, tho most of them are just replacers (you have to loose one to get one)
the worst part of this is that a LOT of them replace hair 01. So you can only choose one of those.
i have one that has wigs tho. they go in the hat/head slot and take on your hair colour so thats a bonus.

the same goes for eyes, makeup, nails, tats and cyberwear.

however, if you want different body shapes (busty, muscled ect) then you need special body rigs.
there are quite a few that give Valerie a lot more 'junk in the trunk' or 'air bags' if you get my drift.
a couple that give you big guys like Palcide or Jackie for Vincent, and a couple that make Valerie over at the gym.
and some that you can use to just simply go full borg, with things like the Alpha Series frames or Songbird's body type for V.

Funny that you mention that. They just confirmed that they are bringing more assets and customisation to the character creation.

The new cosmetic options for vanilla, done with inworld corp branding, looks really good. Especially adding faceplates and so on.

Has it seemed limited in the past? Maybe...but how much would be enough?

Have you seen all the eye colours? Can't check myself (moded lol) but are there any nice milky jade green eyes in the new batch?
I've been modding since 1.6, but I still can't find the shade I want.
(I had it in the Sims 2, by an amazing maker called Enayla. They made the most fantastic skins, eyes and make up but I don't think they are around anymore :( those eyes in cyberpunk would have been jaw dropping)

I vividly remember them advertising how expansive the customization would be to the point where me and my co-worker kept joking about the penis slider that could adjust the length and girth into the smallest detail. CC is too limited and it's not because they don't have enough options, it's because it's locked behind pre-made options. Like, I think boob size is locked to S, M and L. Would've been better if you could just set whatever % between S and L you wanted, same goes for all options.

Part of that is (with the boobs, at least) clothing all seems to default to the default size.
First time I played, I made my streetkid V with the big setting.
But every top seems to use the default 'medium' unless you mod.

If ya want the dong slider tho.... Conan Exiles got you covered
(or rather, not covered XD. Remember the jokes about them when it first went live, and every streamer was ether making a double F cup princess, or Dong the Destroyer lmao)
You can also adjust 'sex appeal' in the Saint's Row 3 and 4 games, tho it's not as visual as Conan.

Usually I just point folks towards the mods section at nexus, or link the mods that do just what they ask for, if I can.
Now we just got to hope some of the best mods get updated.
(I'm hoping to see 'gangs of night city' mod comes back...I never got the chance to download it, even tho I recommended it a lot to folks wanting more gang related gameplay)

I see. But if clothes default to medium there shouldn't be much reason for them not to have a slider based system. It's just one of the many things that keeps hinting that the game was waaaay too far from being ready for release to the point where they couldn't even make sure the clothes fit. They can polish all they want, but the base isn't there. I'm waiting for modders to add whatever CDPR promised, a few more eye colors won't change my mind about it.

If Conan was in the future I probably would play it, yes.

Genuinely, a very underwhelming character creator. Has been since launch.

I know people went absolutely insane because you could customise your ♥♥♥♥. forget that saints row let you do that back in 2009.

But come on, NO cosmetic cyberwear other than a few random facial lines? It was always bound to suck.
