Any point to do max tac assaults?
Besides the sheer enjoyment of course.

Just for the reason you said, like anything else in life ;-)
Bragging rights. A final test to see how good your build really is.

There is one little exception though. A side job that takes place in an up market clothing store. You can meet a female MaxTac officer there that if you can kill and loot, without ever leaving the store (that's you, a small room and about two units of MaxTac by the way) you can get your hands on a unique (not to be confused with"iconic") looking mantas blades. They're blue.
Plus Zane will give you mates rates on Jinguji kit for saving his life ;-)

Now here is another question: How do I escape the assault after I get bored of doing it? When I run away, I have 2 cars spawn in front of my path while having all the previous cops just bee line towards me wherever I hide. Even going to areas that they can not reach and can't see me doesn't end up dropping my wanted level. I know I can just die or reload, but that ends up getting kinda frustrating. Any solutions?

Run and hide. You need to find a location where they can't see you, but also can't reach you as they will be looking for you.
After that it's just a waiting game, bring something to read as this will likely take a minute.

If you can reach an owned home ducking into it I hear can also remove your stars. I think the same is true of stores (not counting a certain fight in a certain clothing store).

Run on foot. Not by vehicle. Simply find an alleyway and run through it, then find a little corner and stand still. It can take between 30 seconds to a minute before the alert system starts to blink.

You can also run into any shop. Literally any shop. Guns, clothes, meds, etc. Once you go inside, the alert system will shut off within 3 seconds.

edit: in addition to this, if you have Phantom Liberty and reached the point where you have the face imprint cyberware installed, you can also use that to change your identity and the alert system will shut off within seconds of initiating it.

But it will only be able to be used after you've reached a certain distance away from the NCPD. You'll know once your face imprint option is not longer in red.

Do as our god and savior Obiwan, and get to high ground. That is the achilles heel of the enemy AI.

:steamthis:

If you've got the double jump, or high jump leg cyberware, jump up on buildings. No enemies do that, and will only get on rooftops if there's a ladder/stairs. They'll just stand there if there isn't, so you can hide quite easily that way.
