R is a fixed biding?
R is a fixed biding?

This dev is chaining games doing junk with custom binding, if I remind well, The Witcher 1 had already a fixed binding with R, and with hard code keys so tools as AutoHotkey fail work.

And again for CP77? Seriously.

EDIT:
It's different than TW1, I could rebind R to my classic command for this key, move forward, but this key is also carry a body or equip weapon on ground, it ended upset me to put back on ground some junk corpse I'd prefer tear in pieces, even worse equip again the weapon I use again and again.

I believe you have to use third-party software to rebind certain keys in this game.

You can do it without any thirdparty software.

Just edit inputUserMappings.xml (located in Steam/steamapps/common/Cyberpunk 2077/r6/config) to your liking and save the file as read only. I've had to do that quite a few times as an ESDF player.

Ahhh. Thank you. That is good to know. If I ever have occasion to re-map keys in this game, I will keep that in mind.

No, it's a choice error dev repeat since their first game, they use hard code keys, result is tools to rebind keys as AutoHotkey don't work for the game.

This seems not the binding preferences but a sort of copy of all binding.

In game binding panel I achieved chance "second interaction" key from R o something else. But it seems bugged and not work for this meta command in context of carrying body or pick and equip weapon on ground.

So in this file I search all "IK_R" and changed them all in "IK_0" I wanted use the Numpad 0 but didn't found its name.

After in game I lost some useless (secondary) interaction options, but also it fixed my problem.

I took care put the file in read only, so thanks, but that's garbage, the custom binding in game UI for secondary interaction should have work.
