Does Phantom Liberty add anything to the base game?
Hello folks, I never finished CP so thought I'd revisit it. does the Phantom Liberty DLC add any features to the base game, or is it just extra Story content? Thanks

Yes, it adds..

A bunch of new vehicles (that start spawning visually when it's installed) on the roads.
New gear, some of which are exclusive to the Dogtown vendors (but can sometimes rarely drop outside that zone once installed)

Once you have it installed you can do a couple more activities.
El Capitain will have started a new business. We know he sells vehicles on AutoFixer, but now you can get paid (and get discount vouchers) for kleppin those vehicles.
(Re occurring micro gigs to steal vehicles. You have to steal one in Dogtown first to enable it tho)
The gangs have been ramping up their activities, so there are new, slightly harder points to take down.
( they are marked on the map as 'increased criminal activity' spots. They usually have a mini-boss as well as slightly better loot)

Inside Dogtown, once you have been informed about them, regular 'drop points' spawn where Scav's, Barghast and others guard or fight over loot crates dropped in.
(Supply crates. You will see coloured smoke and head a loud beeping noise with an echo tone. These just keep happening over and over, over time.)

Many thanks, I'll grab it before starting then.

Honestly, Phantom Liberty is so worth it. I cannot believe it wasnt part of the main game. Its really puts the depth into the story your choices. Even gives you new endings. IMO get it and start the game up and then follow the Phantom Liberty story first.

You can do that yeah..
But it's worth doing some stuff before. Depends on your V I guess.
My main does the big three (helping Goro, Judy and Panam) first, making sure that visiting Alt is last. (That way, Johnny don't need to drag her sorry half conscious arse halfway Ross the map lmao)
While my psychoCorpo just clears a good chunk of stuff (like....most gigs) before going and helping anyone (meets Goro then goes on a fixer gig spree to get skills lol)

There are some bonuses from doing bits of the base game first (mostly side quests) as well as reactions from base game folks to stuff you did because you finished the expansion before doing much of the base game main story.
(One from Rogue that almost makes me want to choose the other path....almost lol)

It's one of the best DLCs I have ever played, while it is a separate area, you can complete the quests at the same time as the base game quests. It adds a very solid story and a bunch of side quests, all of which stand up, in quality, vs the base game mini stories, then a bunch of equipment and cars.
You can open up Phantom Liberty pretty early.
Which then opens up access to great Vendors, some of the best weapons, AND level 60 for V.
And the Phantom Liberty endings are all great imo (I've done them all).
