54 Chapters...
Guys I'm just wondering, I was looking up how many chapters/story missions there were for Ultimate edition and read there were 54 but not all the quests are available in a single play through due to decisions you make. Understandable and makes sense.

Now I have over 200 hours in game but I have only ever gotten as far as doing the rescue with Judy and a handful of side quests, have never met Panam yet... my game is ridiculously modded that I have my hands full.

But I did meet up with Takemura and the mission was just a cut scene, nothing else... do these types of missions count as a chapter or are they just part of a Chapter and each Chapter could have 2 to 5 missions to complete?

Nothing is counted as chapters in Cyberpunk, it does not use a chapter system. If you are seeing chapters, that is a mod, and you are better off asking this on the feedback page of where you got the mod.

Google it
"dO yOuR oWN REsEaRch"

Why not just explain what you are on about? "Chapters" seems to be something you have created, nobody else has it/them.

Just did. No accurate results matching a search of "cyberpunk 2077 chapters". Most likely because the game doesn't have chapters, let alone 54 of them.

So why not save everyone the trouble and just post a link to whatever it is that (you believe) proves you right?

lol
Okay, some random non-official website calls them chapters, that is a mistake on their end, not ours.

err. yeah, OK mate. If i ever need Coronation Street advice, I'll give you a call.

Otherwise, still no idea what you are on about. Cyberpunk has no chapters.

I never understood why people buy a game just to mod it BEFORE playing it. To each his own, I reckon.
The Radio Times is mostly TV and Radio timetables tbh.
You buy a special, bumper version at Christmas.
Yeah, it's a British thing, likely a subsidiary of the BBC. If so, it's no wonder it's waffling on about stuff like EastEnders or Coronation Street. Probably some Bargain Hunt in there too XD
(I think I have a 50th anniversary edition from the Dr Who event somewhere)

There is no mention I recall in the official game guide, of chapters, outside of the books own chapters. Tho they are more 'sections' I think.
Tho, I do have to say....it's odd that the number is 54.
That, and a few other numbers, keep cropping up the whole game.

Edit:
Ahhhh. I see.

Missions. Main questline specific. Needed to progress.
Those daft old buggers decided to use 'chapter' instead of quest or mission.

Sorry, op. You just fell foul of 'Old Brit-Fart' language.
After taking a quick peek at their page, it's been adapted so it has the same appearance as places like game informer ect, but using 'chapter' instead of 'quest'
(Probably to make it feel more English looking)

Each one of the chapters you saw listed, is the name of the specific quests you need to complete to progress the storyline.
That's why is mentions 'the pickup' in act one.

Each one of those is a main story progression.

Since you are using the Dark Future - urban survival mod, you are going to have to go slower anyway, or your V will likely loose their nerve, have a breakdown or even heart failure.

But don't worry. Only one or two main quests have a timer.
Some side quests do. ('happy together' ' loosing my religion' 'riders of the storm' and a quest to take a dude to the ripper because his undercarriage is smoking)
The main opening quest to phantom liberty (chase the plane) is one, 'don't fear (the reaper)' is another.
First one being do not get too far from the path to get to the plane (once you have to 'be carefull and don't get spotted' you should be safe)
The other is a kind of count down timer of sorts.

This random non-gaming website arbitrarily referring to the missions as chapters makes little sense giving the non-linear storytelling with the major quest lines. What is chapter 30? The Panam Quest line? The Takamura Quest line? Did you save Rogue for last, is she chapter 15 or 52?
I'm not sure if I understand this right, Bloodclot. But before this topic gets further derailed and possibly locked if people start crossing the line with insults, to answer your question, yes, some parts of the quests are talk sequences that set you up for the next sequence. You'll see a mission accomplishment after each one is done. Even if it's simply a minor interaction or as you call it, a cut scene.

I personally don't use the word "chapters" to describe these sequences, but if you do, I suppose you can say these sequences are just that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's a dead end thread. OP started off talking about them thinking they had missed things via their heavily modded game, then started talking about a TV guide.

It is unclear what they are on about.
Yeah it can be confusing using "chapters" as opposed to quests and missions and Valium presented a valid point as to why we don't use "chapters" to describe these chain of events, which can go in so many different ways in any order you choose.
