game restarts pc
after the up date i got today from steam. the game loads and when it show cd project red the pc restarts. windows logs show no errors.

You'll get more attention for your problem if you post in the Technical Discussion forum.

What update did you get from Steam? Is your game modded? Have you tried resetting your graphics to default, or installing the latest drivers for your GPU? Nobody can help if you don't give us more information.

No update was released today, the small update you got is probably steam shader cache.

Did you update to the latest motherboard BIOS? If you had to replace your CPU, you probably understand the situation and did so. My guess now is that your RAM XMP settings might be out of whack. There is nothing in this game that should shut down your whole PC.

If a Game "restarts" the PC, it was Power fluctuation.
Means there was either a Power spike or undervoltage. Would guess a power spike if starting the Game and that triggered the emergency Restart of the OS.
How big was the Update, when did you play the last time?
Maybe it was a bigger Update that changed Requirements and your System is now not longer strong enough to play.
My guess is on higher GPU demand, which caused a power spike, which triggered a hardcoded self-preservation System restart.

It's 100% power spiking the system due to a faulty PSU. Mine was black screening before, and i replaced it with a 1350 WATT Platinum. All good now.

All my other games were fine, when this was happening. It's a problem with some games, they spike at the beginning.

not sure what the issue was but i uninstalled and reinstalled the game now it works.

For other users with similar issue, go to windows reliability monitor and see if the error has to do with nvlddmkm. If yes, then it is a driver's issue. Using the transformer model with framegen will cause this.

The problem was introduced in the prev nvidia driver and still not yet fixed in the current driver.
