Cant move while scanning (new issue as of five minutes ago?)

So I can no longer move while im scanning. Every now and then it will act like im dashing while scanning, then cant move again. Sometimes I will move in slow motion, but only one direction....say left but no other direction will work. I can take my hands off the keyboard and I just keep slow strafing in one direction.

I tried using a controller, same issue. This JUST started happening out of nowhere. Any ideas?

Scanning usually slows down and eventually pauses when you're mousing over something like an enemy, to give you time to select a quickhack before the menu auto disappears.

Right, the time dilation is the same, as far as enemies moving around goes. That hasnt changed. Its ME that randomly slows down. I was just playing testing it again. I was just walking down the street, not in combat, nothing really to scan and my character just starts moving in low mo, and I mean its super slow mo, almost to a full stop.

It will do this mid jump...I look straight up and the jump animation continues normal speed.

Basically, it just seems very random when I as the character moves in slow mo. Nothing around to scan, no combat, no enemies, just random slow mo.

Yeah that seems weird. I've had some stuff like that happen with some cyborg wares that slow time when certain things happen. Like an enemy somewhere bugged out constantly triggering combat so the slow time when detected or starting combat thing kicks in.

But that usually doesn't persist through reloads, so not likely what is happening.

Can you load an older save and see if it still happens? That way at least you'll know if a certain thing happening in the game borked it permanently.

Yeah I loaded a whole different character. Same thing.

Well that's good and bad, means it isn't your save that's binned. But also means you'll have to muck around to fix it. I take it you're using mods.

Edit. Sorry, lied. One for no intros and one that changes some of the billboards around.

Those sound like they're safe to remove mid playthrough, maybe try removing them, verifying files and see if it still happens.

If it doesn't enable them one by one until you find the culprit.

Edit: Nah, still does it. It does it even looking at my player car. Theres no need to freeze my character for that. Im not gonna brain fry my car. :( Come on game.

Edit again: It HAS to be a bug. I tested it again. I looked at my car again, this time I moved normally, but as soon as I looked to the right where there was nothing to scan, i couldnt move again. Sigh. Its almost unplayable like this and I cant seem to find any info about it.

Ive read a few posts where people have the same issue, no solution.

Have you deleted the mods and verified files?

Usually to get it completely clean you may have to delete the game, go into the folder and manually delete any files the uninstall didn't remove.

Welp, since my body is not letting me sleep before work (annoyed) I guess Ill go through this reinstall process haha.

Edit: Fresh install, no mods. Slo mo still present. Looks like this is just something Ill have to deal with. I kinda give up.

Did you remember to delete the folder after uninstalling? A lot of mod files will still be there since the uninstaller only deletes main game files.

Also try finding your config/save folders and delete those(backup the saves though)

If that doesn't help. Next step is turning all the graphics down and see if it still happens.

Just dump everything on absolute lowest. Grasping at straws at this point but if that fixes it your gpu/cpu may be acting up when it's under stress.
Benchmark may also work.

Or some power management is being weird.

Im not knocking down your suggestions. Ill probly try them! But its not a performance issue. I got the game pretty much at max with ray tracing and such and its butter smooth. This is a gameplay issue.

That said, yeah I did delete everything except the config/save folders. Im gonna have to google where they are. I checked in my documents/games and nothing was there from cyberpunk or cdpr.

Welp, deleted stuff, turned the game to potato mode.....still does it lol.

Sigh. Odd though. The few posts ive seen with the same issue say the zoom in scanning mode is super slow mo. Mines normal, but the movement slow mo is still there.
