What is a Doll and Braindance?

I Imagine that a braindance is like Virtual Reality but what the hell is a doll?

BD isn't Virtual Reality - it's recorded human experiences, incl. the "feels". See "Strange Days" movie for reference (and fantastic cinema), they've basically copied it from there.

The film "Brainstorm" starring Chistopher Walken has a better example of what a 'braindance' actually is. Braindancing is also complicated by the fact that people have cyberware installed in their bodies, which makes the braindance more than mere "recorded human experiences." I do believe Cyberpunk 2077 has a unique take on the whole "recorded human experience" which makes a braindance a special cyberpunk idea.

as for what a doll is, you could experience everything via a braindance, or you could experience your special fantasy with a human involved. a doll is tied to your fantasy so they 'act it out' with you. Call them 'experience traders.' Evelyn Parker is a real person because she exists outside her clientele's fantasies. Proof: the relic heist.
