And no, KITT looked completely different. BUT.... i will admit, if they would repeat the Skippy-Situation with an armed Car (minus the kinda annoying personality of Skippy xD), it could be an interesting "companion" for the Game.
Additional Style-Points for the Developer, if this Cyberpunk-KITT would interact with Johnny directly, as its AI detects the Construct in your Head (like Panam's Car detected the foreign Tech in V's Head and caused Errors).
Yes we have the Delamain Taxi Service, but after that Side-Quest is over, we dont hear much about him anymore.
Other than being a sporty black car, there's no resemblance at all. If it at least had the panning red light bar across the front I'd see it as a reference, but.... No. It's just a black sports car.
Oh, it's a shame.. but the idea would be so suitable for the game.. a sports car that talks to you and defends you.
