Personally, I'd recommend _against_ any mods that alter basic gameplay, unless you've played through the game at least once. However in addition to the basic resource mods (redscript, RED4ext, ArchiveXL, TweakXL and Cyber Engine Tweaks) I'd recommend:

Vehicle No Despawn (your cars and bikes are less likely to wander away)
Smooth Movement 1.1 (CET mod)
Smarter Scrapper (Automatically scraps junk and low-level weapons...but be careful because you need those low-level weapons in the early game)
Any or all of the High-Res NPC mods ( whatever the VRAM on your GPU can handle]
Ragdoll physics Overhaul
Pet Your Cat
Ping Tags Enemies
Named Saves
Lightbeam Fix
Kiroshi Night Vision
Johnny Silverhand in his 30s
Immersive First Person
Hide Read Shards
Execute Quickhacks with left mouseclick
Dirt Begone (cleans up the game's mirrors)
Cherry Trees high resolution
Better Loot Markers
Balanced Nighttime Cycle
Appearance Change Unlocker (allows you to do more extensive body modification in bathroom mirror)
Always Best Quality
3D Vanilla Hi-Def Holobeams

I'd also recommend just about any of the quest and QOL mods by Deceptious on Nexus.

Note that many of these mods have dependencies and some limitations, so read the instructions for each mod _carefully_ and be sure you have any additional mods like Codeware, Input Loader, Mod Settings and Native Settings UI.

Cyberpunk isn't the easiest game to mod, so proceed with caution, only install a few mods at a time to make troubleshooting easier if something goes wrong.

Have fun!
