Accidentally sold an iconic weapon...

...and progressed too far to load an early save where i think i last had it.
Any way to get it back?

I don't need the weapon, i just wanted it for completion's sake, but i think i misclicked when selling my stuff and now i don't see it in my inventory anymore.

Iconic weapons can be bought in the arena market in dogtown.

That's Phantom Liberty right? I only recently bought it, haven't gotten to that part yet in this playthrough. But good to know.

Turns out i'm dumb and didn't actually sell it, the weapons just got replaced and it was equipped instead of in the inventory lol.

But i did miss a few by this point, so buying them will be pretty nice later.

Iconic weapons can not be obtained again. If you dismantle them or sell them and can't buy them back before vendor's inventory is restocked, then the weapon is gone.

u cant sell iconic weapons tho? at least i dont remember being able to sell em but idk im on an older version too to keep my mods alive

The weapons only appear in the Dogtown market if you failed to pick them up. If you sold or dismantled it, it is gone. You are left with mods and console commands as the solution to your problem.

Not sure what kind of metatagging is involved with selecting that incorrect answer as the accepted answer, I just hope some person googling isnt screwed over by that.

So wait, aside from the fact that i didn't sell the weapon after all, i just didn't see it equipped...

CAN you even sell iconic weapons then?
And if you can, do they appear in dogtown after or not?

I dont know if it has been changed recently when it comes to selling them, but I have accidentally dismantled a few. The Dogtown merchant will only sell iconics that were spawned, but not picked up, as a sort of backup to give players a second chance. The Dogtown merchant will not sell iconics you have had in your possession.

Hmm, i guess i can make a backup save when i get to that merchant, try to sell/dismantle a few, then see what happens. It's gonna be a while though, i still haven't unlocked Phantom Liberty or Dogtown.

Or can you just go to Dogtown from the get go? I didn't bother to check honestly, i'm just doing the missions and go where they send me for now, not exploring yet.

I was asking for a legit in-game way, but yeah, the console is an option to correct a mistake if it happens.

Note that there's a system in your Inventory to mark valuable weapons that prevents you from being able to sell or disassemble them...just hold down 'V' key (for keyboard...dunno about controllers, sorry).
