DLC mission "You know my name" still bugged even after 2.2

Put this game down ages ago when I realised I couldn't progress past this bug.
Now even after a major patch including fixes for a bunch of DLC items... STILL NO FIX FOR THIS??

At the point where you take over the sniper nest, am still unable to scan any items or locations. Not the bridge, not the threats, nothing. Doesn't matter where you aim or zoom.
Because you can't scan them, Reed never moves, and you're stuck unable shoot or exit or do anything.
Reload? same result.
Start mission again from outside building? same result.

This is a vanilla install. No mods of any kind.

I love the game, but fk this is a downer.

edit: the fix was making sure normal hold tab scan was used and not making dumb key remaps.

This is the first time I've heard of this bug happening. I wonder what triggered it because I've never had this issue and I've played that mission a lot of times (lot's of trial and error before I finally figured out the formula). Sorry you're experiencing this annoyance man.

Hope someone can chime in, who has experience with this problem and provide some help.

You're using the actual scanner function from the main game right and not trying to scan with the sniper's ADS?

Just in case, you need to be zoomed out on the sniper then hold the regular scan button to scan stuff for Reed.

Had been doing this but went back to double check this exact combo.
Turns out the problem was I'd remapped capslock, it was interfering.
