Mods for better driving?
(No, I won't use a controller)

It seems like it should be really obvious to just use the mouse for steering and have W & S control throttle instead of just being 100% go and 100% stop. Do any mods do this?

Soo.. you won't use the one mod that makes driving 10 times better.

If it involves using a controller? No.

And you are aware that plugging in a controller doesen't mean you can only use that, Right? That you can freely and seamlessly switch between KB+M and the controller at will, and only use the controller for driving and nothing else?

There is literally nothing 'seamless' about having to pick up a controller every time you get into a vehicle. That is the least seamless thing you can possibly have regarding control hardware.

Yes, I've tried it. It's ♥♥♥♥. Thinking that swapping between M&KB and a gamepad is any kind of reasonable way to play a game is a cope. A gamepad isn't even that big an improvement anyways.

So, no, if your solution is just 'use a controller', then I'm not sure why you even wasted my time responding.

I would recommend "gripped up", that's a good start. Makes the grip less silly; makes some cars act a little less like a piece of butter in a hot frying pan.

I used to like Cyber Vehicle Overhaul until they made the cars do 400 kph, so do that if you want performance that do not quite suit the game.

True grip - slope traction and handbrake handling fix is also very good, because the cars act funny when driving up and down hills, handbrake also doesn't make much sense at times. This mod adresses that.

Sounds like a good start, thanks.
Get racing pedals and/or a wooting keyboard for smooth turning/acceleration and braking

Grab the mod "authentic shift" while you're at it - the gearing in Cyberpunk is a bit weird and the cars/bikes bogs after every gear change. The mod doesn't increase the performance of the vehicles, it just makes the shifts more.. authentic. :D: Better revs and so on.

I agree that this game's driving is weird. They always over steering for some reason and road grip is almost non existent.

I'm glad you ask for this as I will grab some of these mods these people recommend.

Some people (rightfully) feel that a game should be designed to be useable on every platform it's sold on. Driving is jank on mouse and keyboard on this game and I'm not going to buy a controller to fix that problem.

I just fast travel and use motorcycles.

Hey, I'm not aware of mods to fix the driving (which blatantly sucks on kbm) but there's a great autodrive mod:

Okay the driving is a bit odd, i would rather say challenging. but will it help anybody to hold press W cornering at full speed and complain about crashing and losing control? well... only if you are 11. for everyone who knows a bit about a thing or two, you cant full throttle a high power car if its not perfectly straight and NOT lose control. the fact that we can only push W or don't push W doesn't contribute - but we can accelerate and use momentum.. i always let roll after pushing, to maintain considerable speeds. that way i say that the handling is okay. some cars better than others, bikes a bit easier than cars. in this game. but yeah it doesnt help blasting throuhg crowded streets with 160 mph and speak about good or bad handling. it's ridiculous.
