Mods after 2.2
I have this on GOG and was about to give it a try for the first time after launch (4 years ago, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) and had looked into some of the mods available. Well, a few days later 2.2 is announced and released lol

I'm wondering how broken mods are after 2.2? I've noticed a few updated ones so I've obviously downloaded what has an update, but are mods like virtual atelier still working? I'm not entirely sure how much this update breaks in the world of customization mods.

I'm also curious what people would recommend. I've grabbed a lot of the engine tweaks and fixes, and I don't think I saw a whole lot on offer in regards to custom quests and new user content, or gameplay changes (like Ordinator for Skyrim as an example). I saw a hair mod that's popular but it seems like I need to download 96 separate files lol. Also wondering what body mods work best for extra clothing... I've also heard there's a "must have" mod that makes driving cars and the engine sound not cause cancer, anyone know what that is?

not really broken at all, ArchiveXL and TweakXL work with their updates, same for CET, any mods that rely on them work fine

The "core mods" like CET, Archive, RedExt, Tweaks, etc. are all updated. Most mods like clothing should be running just fine.

larger mods, however, will need additional updates of their own.

There are very few mods that really need updating every time. Mod frameworks.

CET
TweakXL
red4ext
codeware

And these typically get an update within 24 hours.
I havent updated anything else after 2.20, and I have maybe 30-40 mods running.

Also I dont think there are any 'must have' mods. I'd say: just give it a try, and if you dont like something then get a mod for it.
I personaly played 650 hours with unmodded cars and havent got cancer yet.

Ateliers work for me.
Maybe this doesn't fit for you, but because I do excessive gear modding I use
Equipment-Ex Unlocker
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/11444
and bypass atelier buying altogether. Not immersive by any means, just for my photomode files.

Not sure on custom quests. I thought Deceptious had a bunch of extra quests to do, but no idea if those work.

Hyst's ebb body mods have quite a few clothing options that scale to those proportions. They have the vtk "angel body" as well, but I've not used it as I stick to mostly vanilla or "ebb/rb".

Dark Future
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/16300
Overhauls quite a bit of the survival part of the game if you're looking for that.

A random QOL mod I'll always throw in for people
All TVs Interactive and Off
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/11719
"Makes all world (non-interactive) TVs interactable and optionally turns them off by default."

The patch really broke photomode unlocker in a bad way right now, but I think most other things have managed to be updated at a pretty good pace.

Thanks! The Dark Future mod seems very interesting, and glad to see some of the games immersion being used for gameplay purposes. I checked out the body mods and was a bit confused... There seems to be EBB, EBB with a bigger butt, and RB that seems to be a different shape? I get the impression EBB with the bigger butt is the most supported one there and RB seems outdated and lacking in support? I've noticed the refits for RB have clipping issues with shirts that go to the waist.

Is there anything that improves economy and works well with Dark Future? Anything to improve the city vibe and foot traffic? Game still feels dead at the street level sometimes lol

EBB is the upper body (bigger chest) and RB is the lower body (bigger butt).

They were originally released as separate things. So you could pick EBB only, RB only, or EBBRB. And the clothing mods put out different versions (if needed - a mod that only did pants only needed a vanilla & RB version, for instance). for each option.

Then they added EBBP (bigger chest, but 'pushed up' for more cleavage), and of course EBBPRB.

edit: there was also briefly an "EBBN" (EBB Natural) which had some sort of mechanism to have the boobs sag when they weren't being supported by bras/clothes? Or something like that?

Now they've moved on to the Angel body (which, I think, is a whole new body with it's own proportions, rather than "let's take the vanilla body and make the chest/butt bigger")

And then, of course, there's a couple other popular bodies (like Solo, which is more muscular; don't remember the others)

Most 'big' clothing modders will put out versions for all the popular bodies. Recently, they figured out a way to pack them all into a single file which detects which body you're using, so you don't need to pick the right one out of 7+ download options.

So Dark Future is cool but I feel like there's an awful lot of food and drink vendors around the city that can't be interacted with. Is there anything that works well for expanding on this?

Edit: Well I'm thinking I may just quit the game again. It seems every time I start the game I'm having a new bug with something... V is naked for some reason even though they're dressed, the nevernude underwear seems to work sometimes and other times it doesn't (if V isn't naked). Why would this be happening between booting the game when no mods have been added or changed? I can only conclude it's the game itself still being as buggy as it was 4 years ago. How did this win community support last year? lol

Because that's not the experience we're having? I did a new playthrough with Phantom Liberty when it came out, with a few mods (mostly cosmetics & visuals), and got through it fine. Very few bugs.

And you're right, that's very very strange. No idea why/how that could be happening.

So much has changed since the game's release that I think OP should delete _all_ his mods and start from scratch....maybe even delete his game files and re-download. Old saves and remnants of old mods will definitely mess your game up at some point.

I haven't had the game installed for 4 years. Fresh install two days before 2.2 released, all mods downloaded after that.
