Technical abiliy - Edgerunner perk. Nerfed / Changed?
Heya!

I'm trying to plan my build on my first playthrough and I was going to go for edgerunner but then I realized it says the proc chance is 0.1% per cyberware point over the limit, meaning at max I can get a 5% proc chance on kill which kinda seems very very low, nearly pointless tbh.

I've googled some and seen mention of a 1% per excees point which would max out at 50%, that sounds alot more reasonable for a top perk to have a use.

Has it shifted from small buff which procs often to a substantial buff which procs rarely or just been nerfed? are people just not reading? am I missing something?

Kinda thinking about going for something else entirely now, a 1/20 chance on kill doesn't really tickle my brain xD

TL;DR: is edgerunner perk useful or crap?

You don't take Edgerunner for the cyberpsychosis proc, you take it for the extra cyberware capacity. +50 capacity is almost like a chrome compressor.

There's a mod on moddb that allows you to change the rate that it goes off.

Despite normally sitting at a 3-4% chance, I find it goes off a lot more than you would think.
That said even when it does it doesn't make a massive difference to your combat ability and as MjKorz said the reason you take this perk is for the huge +50 boost to cyberware capacity letting you pack way more in.
That alone makes it 100% worth it. The other bit is just a fun little bonus.
