Can I talk to Johnny in the car?

I've been driving around a bunch while installing mods and noticed he spawns in the car pretty frequently. He asks me what's up or what's the plan but I don't even get an option to respond? Is that a bug or is it just every now and then or can you not reply at all?

You can't interact. It's a half baked feature. Cool idea, lousy execution. All it does currently is interrupt the radio with pointless, repetitive comments. 100% guarantee that they didn't get Keanu back into the studio for more dialogue. It's all reused/cut dialog from existing sessions, which makes interactivity potential limited.

There's a mod on Nexus called "The Passenger" that lets you disable it entirely (or change the spawn rate/types of comments if you'd rather leave it enabled). For me, I'd love an option for him to show up in the seat and keep his mouth shut, but that's not an option.

I've disabled it with the CET mod. I generally drive with my view outside the car, so just having Johnny spout a random comment is nothing I want.

No, it's not a bug. He just appears to keep you company. I'm guessing it was a popular mod and it wasn't difficult to implement, so they added it officially to the game. But no interactions whatsoever. Would be cool tho.

I don't mind him riding shotgun but I want him to STFU. Saying he misses me and crying about my speed. His lines are so out of place for an anarchist adrenaline junkie.
