Cannot craft/upgrade quickhacks, fixes/workarounds?
So apparently I'm not the first person to have this issue, but I'm unable to see crafting recipes for quickhacks (despite having the perk for quickhack crafting unlocked), nor am I able to upgrade any of my quickhacks. Found out from a friend who went for a quickhack build that she can upgrade them (and she even showed me that she can more or less one-shot people with 'em due to how much she's upgraded them) and all that jazz, but somehow they're not visible as craftable/upgradeable for me. I don't know if it's the game being buggy or if it's something about my hardware or what, but until CDPR gets a fix together, does anyone know of any community-made fixes/workarounds so I can actually make use of this run, or am I going to have to scrap my plans and respec out of this playstyle?

do you have the quickhacks in your inventory, because you can only craft one of each. If you already have that hack in your inventory the game will sometimes hide the schematics for the ones you have.

Need more info...

- What perks do you have?
- What quickhacks are in you inventory?

Also what level is your intelligence?

You need 8 for green, 12 for blue, 16 for purple and 20 for legendary.

You need said INT scores AND the necessary perks. Also make sure the quickhaks aren’t currently equipped, i. e. go to your cyberdeck and middle-click on them. Try if exiting out of the inventory screens back to gameplay and then opening it back again for crafting changes things.

Normally, if you don’t see the schematics at all, it would seem like you don’t have the perk, already have a quickhak of the desired quality in your inventory, or have recently crafted it (on my end there is some odd cool-down timer, which keeps me from crafting more than one of a kind and quality per day or so. But if you have never crafted any e. g. epic version of a given quickhack, that can’t be you issue.)
If you see the schematics but they’re greyed out, then you may be missing components, possibly because you have the quickhak equipped that you’re trying to improve … the unequip it.

If it’s none of these:
Did you start a new game on 1. 6. or import an old save?
Do you have any mods?

This was started on 1.6, no mods.

Intelligence 9 (been upping other stats for attribute-requirement doors) with Hacker's Manual (among others, although that's the one relevant to the situation). I just dumped all quickhacks from my inventory to stash to check if them being in my inventory has anything to do with it. I see literally ZERO quickhack crafting recipes in the crafting list. I've also crafted ZERO quickhacks ever on this run.

Well, 9 is barely enough for green (uncommon). Since that is the minimum quality and you don’t have enough INT for rare quickhaks, what do you expect to be able to improve from what to what?!?

I expect to at least be able to craft them, and I assumed that upgrading quickhacks was like upgrading a gun, where it doesn't actually change the rarity, but does upgrade the damage.

Nope; quickhacks' only differentiator is their rarity. so all Epic Short Circuit quickhacks will be identical.

Nope, each colour has a fixed value that is modified by your perks and the deck you use.

Since 1.6 you can just buy higher level hacks at dealers like the one who gave you the ping hack at the beginning.

My V is currently level 5 with 6 in street cred and she has epic short circuit with a rare ping and rare synapse burnout. The vendor still has overheat and suicide at epic but they are $4500 each and my V has better uses for her money.

last playthrough I did The Heist with just short circuit and ping and synapse burnout. at level 12 with 12 in intelligence and a lot of perks.

Since 1.6 hack as been viable from very low levels unlick the game previously when the hacks were either locked behind street cred in vendors or the requirement for 16+ intelligence.
