I use a Corsair Scimitar gaming mouse that has 14 input's. I do a similar set up to what youre talking about.
now the issue may arise if the mb4/5 is not bound to the button on the mouse. In my case, I have to bind mb4/5 to the buttons on my mouse through Corsairs desktop app. Thats when I was able to bind those buttons in game to whatever I wanted.
The other option is to have a default setup on your mouse and change the default game key bindings to whatever your keys are set to on your mouse. In other words, just click in the key binding box of the game and it will set it whatever the mouse is set to for the mouse's default key binding.
So, I would have to macro the MB4 or 5 to go "Alt, Set Combat Utility to Grenade, Throw grenade" ? That's a lot, and I don't think the game would allow for it anyway. You have to bring up the weapon wheel to change the Combat Utility (Which is camo, grenades, beserk, etc)
There is no binding in the options for "throw grenade" it's just Combat Utility (Which is camo, or nades, or whatever is set to that slot) I want to leave the Combat Utility as Camo, but have access to my grenades without having to open the ALT weapon wheel and switch.
Okay, then if I am understanding correctly, what you are wanting to do isn't really solvable by your customizing your mouse. It sounds like it's a matter of how the game was designed. Sometimes these can be changed easily and sometimes it's a difficult task depending up on how the game makers designed the game. If I get what you are saying you will have to make some changes in the files of the game manually or look for a mod to do it for you.
Alright. I was asking because I know I have seen some screenshots where people do have what I'm saying. I just didn't see it in the game itself. Now I'm thinking it's probably a mod, which I will check the Nexus for.
This one specifically: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/3096
If anyone else is looking for this.
Thank you to everyone for their time/consideration.
And thanks for posting the mod. I may try it as well.
Just read the Sticky Posts (Under Posts on the Nexus Page) because you have to bind the keys in CET and the Mod Menu. It explains it real quick.
