Which mods should we get for this game?
Since the game has been out for awhile I can only assume it has many mods avaliable.

Is there any mods you can recommend that will make the game experience even better? And is there any adult mods out yet?

Any chance the saves would break once the expansion drops?
- ai netrunners
improves netrunners to run more than just overheat and reveal position. could even upload something that would kill you instantly (can disable it in options)

- amateur netrunners
ever 3-4 non-netrunner enemy has netrunning capabilities, but not as strong as an actual netrunner, taking more time to upload, between uploads and only having access to weaker quickhacks

- always first equip
be cool

- autoloot
aint nobody got time to look for every tiny crate. maybe i'm just a loot goblin

- breach takedown
adds the removed animation where you could take an enemy down and then physically breach their subnet. this will reward stealth play and remove the tediousness of multiple breach daemons

- disable auto switch for throwing knives
goin full xayah (still need to build into them tho)

- mod attribute respec
resets your attributes in addition to perks. its not in the base game because of cyberware requirements so make sure to not cheat like that. or do, i'm not your mom. you're the one ruining the experience for yourself.

- no level-difference bonuses
almost like having enemies on your level at all times but better than nothing

- original braindance animations
looked cooler. DO NOT INSTALL IF YOU HAVE EPILEPSY

- scrap your items to obtain crafting recipes
for crafters

- time dialation overhaul
improves various sandevistan implants (and kereznikov/reflx tuner etc too) and lets enemies use their sandevistan during yours if theirs is better (so like in the anime with adam). oh and overuse will damage your health. also has kinda annoying scanner change

- untrack quest
don't meet hanako at embers

- vehicle customizer
finally you can drive that pink/baby blue kusanagi yaiba. or a wrecked car if that's more your taste

- improved radio
get rid of the annoying songs in your favorite station

- small breasts refit and big breasts refit
because the choice in character selection doesn't make a difference, clothed v will always have the medium breasts

- all vanilla atelier
who knows if you can find the drip in the wild, just buy it

- combine consumables
if you want to have a neater inventory and trade away immersion
there is a lot of good ones tbh.
some that i use that werent mentioned and some of my favorites are
jetpack
grappling hook (requires some tweaking to get it right but is fun)
disable fall damage (for use with the jetpack and grappling hook)
let there be flight (flying cars)
vehicle combat (use guns while driving)
drone companions (craft dones and mechs that help you)(also gives you a secondary chip with more ram)
damage floor (tweaks the damage and leveling of enemies to be harder or more consistently the same difficulty)
fast travel from anywhere (fast travel to any map icon)
system ex (increase the amount of cyberware slots)

i personally use like 80+ mods lol

I never needed any, game plays fine as is
I mainly use visual mods but here's what I can think of in that regard.
:For the World it self:
- Surfaces (for some Higher res textures) (use what needs the most improvement)
- Clean That glass (nice if you use RT reflections and tweak the game to show V's reflection)
- pretty much any ad mod either to change or improve LOD (I use NSFW ad's but it's no longer there sadly)
- Simple E3nvironment and Megabuildings enhanced (both from the same author) some nice enhancments to the main area
- Edgerunners Location Additions (also from same author) effects v's room and some other locations
- LOD Improvements (Distant Level of Detail) (mix x5 this with drawdistanceboost = 10 to destroy most distant pop-in....) (my poor cpu, had to take it off cus market place npc's started to tweak out bad...rly bad)
- Improved Vegetation LODs (will make the view in badlands suck less)

:NPC Wise:
- NPC's gone Wild (some higher res textures, and jiggle physics) (nice but has a bug that causes too many npc repeats =( but works well with the next on list for largets variety)
- unused npc's 2018
- NPC Female body tweaks ( body tweaks, add's some variety) (effects named npc's also)

(Side stuff)
- 2077 More Gore V2.0 (to make your massacre more noticable
- immersive First-person (best if with female V, body mod and Custom Breast Jiggle Physics (skyrim jelly file specificly))

Go to Nexus mods and look at mod packs. I'd recommend "Welcome to Night City" which is also the top rated/top downloaded pack.

There's no way to know what CDPR will do in update to files, so modding is inherently risky in that particular regard.

it depends on the mod, most will be fine but there are some that can break it. for example there is a mod that increases the amount of cyberware you can equip, if you remove the mod (or the mod breaks from an update) while still having the extra cyberware equipped then the game will crash every time. i believe most mods will be fine but yeah there are some that will break the game. me personally would save the gamefiles prior to updating if the game is heavily modded to avoid mods/updates breaking (you can just copy the files over the updated game to play the old update), then do a new run when i'm ready with new mods that work with the new updates

iirc, Vortex keeps a 'safe' version of the game to revert to when/if you need to remove mods.
