Clunky Controls

I'm not sure if it's just me or maybe I just need to change some settings, but i'm on controller and literally every aspect of this game feels clunky to control, moving the camera feels bad, picking up and interacting with small items feels horrible, aiming is a nightmare and a half, even menu navigating is just needlessly complicated, aside from it being annoying to navigate the menus in general, you might click A to select a menu option, then select in that new page is X for some reason??? this is kind of an issue throughout the game with the "select" or "interact" button just seeming to be kind of random at times. I have not played that much and many of these issues may be fixed by not using a controller, but i don't usually use mouse+keyboard in shooters so having to learn for this game would be annoying. idk... i guess this is kind of more of a rant where i seek validation for the issues i've faced in the small time i've played the game. they genuinely turn me off from continuing to play

i disagree with this. most rpg games i play i play with controller. it allows me to sit back while i play and it's usually intuitive and fun. i've never in my life had an experience this bad especially with a game that was made for consoles. there are janky indy games that i've played where it was the developers first time making a controller compatible game that are better than this game. it is by far the worst experience i've had with a controller in a video game. the best way i can explain how it feels to control is this, it feels like i'm inputing controls for a 3rd person game, but the camera is in 1st person and also a foot in front of the player

100% agreed.

I also play a lot of games on controller, and CP is by far the worst feeling.

Yes. The UI, in general, is quite bad in my opinion.
