Did I miss my opportunity with Panam? (Spoilers)

I was originally gunning for Judy for my first playthrough as male V, as her story so far seemed more deeply heartfelt and important to the main plot, but unfortunately that was before I found out that this isn't Mass Effect where most of the lovers are ambiguous.

I've been trying to look at the guide as least as possible, but I think the first opportunity I avoided saying "Only one room?" when I was at the motel bar. I can't remember what I/V actually said. It wasn't until after this event did I find out about Judy, so i switched gears then.

Come to the scene after rescuing Saul and camping out in an abandoned house during a sandstorm, she puts her feet on my lap, so I say "take boots off" then the thigh action. She turned me away. I immediately reload, this time saying "take boots off" then "customer's choice" thinking maybe that was too forward.

But then it got me thinking, was it too forward because I missed the first chance, or is she programmed to say that regardless and it's technically an advance? After "customer's choice," Keanu did appear at the end saying "good night" with a sorta "you sly dog" slant to it, so it sounded like I "scored." But really I'm not sure if that means anything at all.

Basically, I'm not sure if the romantic choices all must be chosen, or if there's some kind of "lover points" system running in the background that has to be high enough before a certain part of the story.

I figured I'd ask before I continue so I whether or not to revert to an earlier save.

"You will do the Ghost Town mission together in order to get her car back and once that is done you will have two more quests with her. It is good to keep in mind that you won’t be able to make any wrong choices that will mess up the romance later on in the story."

I did this quest with her, so I guess I'm in the clear? I'm trying not to read this past what I've already done.

You actually can't mess up romance in this game like that. You could be rude to Judy or Panam and you'll still get the option to romance when the time comes.

Romance options have a <3 iirc. If you ditched that <3 option then yes, you screwed up. Otherwise you are fine.

(The only 'hidden value' is probably Johnny, for the not so secret secret-ending
Treat him well, but remind him that he is a terrible person)

Well heart sounds like the actual hanky panky, but I don't recall ever seeing a heart. I'm sure I'm way too early for any of that to happen. All the dialogue choices just sound like flirting.
