All perks resetted by itself
So, I was planning on going back into the game, but... all my perks were resetted I and have no idea what did I level up back then (it's 2 years now, there is no way I would remember). DId an aupdate do that? I tried different saves, but all of them had the perks resetted

Been a while ago, but there was an update that reset the perks, you should still have the points to spend though. Just reassign them, if you can remember your setup.

Good idea to save first then try out different setups, it is a unique opportunity to try stuff for free :p if you don't like it then reload the save

yeah, the points are there, but it's been too long. I barely even remember what the perks do, I just know I had a nice little stealth hacking build, generally didn't even need to face the enemies directly, killed them all outside the building.

Thanks anyway, i thought maybe something bugged for me or something

This has been the case since patch.... 1.5 i think?

They changed a bunch of the stealth perks, and renamed the stealth tree to the ninjitsu tree, so to keep backwards compatibillity with older saves they put in a failsafe that refunds you all your perk points that you've spend so none of them end up getting lost.

Unfortunately it also does this when starting a new game, on first load, which i'm pretty sure is a bug. It's a harmless bug though, you just respend your points and then it's fixed.

Yeah, my problem is that it's been so long I played I have no idea where I did spend my points, I just remember researching a bit and even respecing so it would be really min maxed for hacking stealth

Huhhh... welp, you might've dodged a bullet in that case. Really old saves from before.. i think patch 1.3, are nolonger compatible with the game.

In a nutshell, if you try playing with a save that old, the game is going to bug out in all sorts of bizzare ways, crazy stuff like you use the call vehicle function to spawn one of your motorcycles, and it shows up driving on a wall just hanging there like Spiderman.. it gets really broken.

So if this is a really old save, you'll be better off starting a new game.

Damn. I don't remember how old the save is, but I think I had played until 1.4, but not 1.5

By the sounds of it, it's been a good while since you played, so might be worth going for a new game anyway.

Yeah, it's cause I just wanted to play a little bit with the sidequests I left and some new gigs, but didn't want to go through all the trouble of a full playthrough

Haha I'm in the exact same boat, I just built a new pc for the first time in nearly 6 years. Figured cyberpunk would be perfect to get back into after not touching it since finishing the story when it first came out. I was wondering why so many enemies seemed to just murder me and hacking anything was taking 20 seconds. I remember basically being a god last time I played. No desire to play the full story again tho, just wanna do side quests and gigs for fun.

yeah, exactly my thoughts. I wish I had kept at least a screenshot with the perks I had, I have no clue about them anymore
