Will romance options be updated in Phantom Liberty?
One of biggest gripes I had in the base game was the hamfisted restrictions on romance options. Will these updated in Phantom Liberty so we have actual freedom to romance who we want from the love interest list?

Just in case you weren't aware, there's a mod on nexusmods to allow a female V to romance Panam.

I doubt it.. they are content with the strange status que they have designed.. Weird for many of us. But the devs seem happy with it.

Knew about that one, but was hoping for something official.

Thanks for the replies, peeps. I hadn't seen anything but wasn't sure if I'd missed something.

To me it is much more hamfisted to make everyone bi so everyone can romance everyone. You do know that people have preferences right?

I just wish the existing romantic relationships would be expanded a bit. At the present they are little more than glorified one-night stands.

I hope they add more.
The romance options sucks lol. They're either I'm not gay or they're pretty mid and annoying.

Cyberpunk 2077 is not a dating sim. Romances provide a little bit of extra flavour at the end of specific quest lines. and that's all that they are.

which is why Being able to go for takemura as a corpo female V would have been the most kino bitter sweet ending of them all. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Obviously such relationships are not the main drive of the game, but they are great component of it. The more the merrier.

It's a video game, there's no reason to bar people from romancing anyone because of their gender.

There is a reason and it is a great one. The writers decided that they wanted it this way. They have artistic license to see their own vision through.

I consider NPCs of that style to have Schrodinger's Orientation, not that everyone is bi. They have the orientation the player wanted for the story, and could have a different orientation in someone else's story. This happens all the time in fanfic.

Every wins, except devs who don't get to collect Ally Points for making a gay NPC. The NPC will still be interpreted as gay all the time, but the dev doesn't get to take credit for it, and this makes a sad dev.
